In his own words, his contract ran out and he wanted to go out on his own. In the January 7, 2025 announcement video he said Barstool hired him in college, “but my contract is up and, it’s time,” and that “sometimes in life you got to take some risks” (Dexerto). His post opened “THANK YOU BARSTOOL” and thanked his coworkers and Dave Portnoy for believing in him (Barrett Media). He kept Sundae Conversation, and Glenny Balls left with him. Yes. North Carolina’s 2013 roster bio lists him as a walk-on quarterback from Asheville who joined before the 2011 season, saw his first game action against Idaho in 2013 and studied in Scotland in spring 2014. In high school he quarterbacked A.C. Reynolds to a 2009 state title (WLOS). He has not explained his reason for stepping away from playing in anything we could source. What is public: the team gave him a morale title, “Supervisor of Morale” per Famous Birthdays, and that is how Dave Portnoy introduced him before Barstool offered him a job (WLOS, March 2021).

The format. A short sit-down where the host never breaks. Pressley asks a famous guest questions that are slightly wrong, with total sincerity, and Glenny Balls supplies the second beat from the next chair. Each episode is a few minutes, and the funniest exchanges get cut again into shorts.
Why it travels. The clip works without context: a star, a strange question and a face trying to decide whether it is a bit. Guests share their own episodes, which pulls their fans in, and the cutdowns carry the show to his roughly 2.4 million TikTok followers on top of the 1.26 million on the YouTube channel.
Brand fit. Episodes already carry a single presenting sponsor (recent ones name Fanatics Sports & Casino and Fre nicotine pouches), and Shadow Lion is the show’s sales partner. Sports, betting, drinks and lifestyle brands sit comfortably here. The humor is gentle by Barstool standards, so a broader brand can work, as long as it is fine being the setup of the joke.
