Questions people ask
Who is Mack Hopkins?
Mack Hopkins is a YouTuber and video editor who runs the channel Mack and was lead editor, co-host and co-creator of MrBeast’s Beast Games, per Art of the Cut in May 2025. No Film School reported in June 2025 that after leaving film school he co-started a channel with a friend named Eric that reached 15 million subscribers in two years, then launched his own channel, and joined the MrBeast team after Jimmy Donaldson praised one of his videos. He told Art of the Cut he learned After Effects at nine years old, and he told ProVideo Coalition that the first Beast Games episode, shot on more than 1,100 cameras, was “one of the most advanced edits humankind has ever attempted.” As of October 25, 2026 his channel has about 1.5 million subscribers and seven videos.
Is Mack Hopkins still with MrBeast? Did he leave MrBeast, and is he a MrBeast editor?
As of October 2026, Mack Hopkins has not announced leaving MrBeast, and we found no report of a departure in an accepted outlet, so there is no reason on the record for why he would have left. What is public: Variety billed him in 2025 as Beast Games’ editor, creator and co-host and noted that he has edited MrBeast’s YouTube videos, and TheWrap listed him on September 25, 2025 as a Beast Games co-creator with Donaldson, Sean Klitzner and Tyler Conklin, adding that the show was renewed for a second and third season in May 2025. In 2026 he restarted his own channel, and its hiring site, mackyoutube.com, recruits an editor, 3D artist, thumbnail designer, producer and writer for Mack Youtube Production. He has not said whether that changes his MrBeast role.
Did Mack Hopkins leave Airrack? Why did he leave, and is he still with Airrack?
Mack Hopkins has not publicly announced leaving Airrack, and Airrack has not announced it either, in any source we accept as of October 2026. What is public: Airrack’s December 8, 2022 video Would You Rather: IRL credits his friends Mack and Tyler, and the Mack credit points to the same handle, /mack, that Mack Hopkins links as his Instagram in his own video descriptions. No Film School reported in June 2025 that he co-started a channel with a friend named Eric, then launched his own channel, then joined MrBeast; the article does not name the channel or give Eric’s surname. Airrack’s real name is Eric Decker (see our entry), but neither Hopkins nor Airrack has confirmed on the record that the channel No Film School describes is Airrack’s. His own channel began with THE START. on April 26, 2023, captioned “Today marks the start of my youtube channel.” Neither he nor Airrack has given a reason on the record, and claims of a falling out appear only on fan sites and social media, which we do not repeat.
What happened to Mack Hopkins? What is he doing now?
As of October 2026, Mack Hopkins is uploading to his own channel again after nearly three years away. He posted THE START. on April 26, 2023 and Surviving 100 hours controlled by Ai on April 29, 2023, then nothing on the channel until March 6, 2026. In between he led the edit on Beast Games, which premiered on Prime Video on December 19, 2024, per Variety. Since March 2026 his channel has posted five videos: a car theft story, a plane crash survival video, the bank heist video, A Murderer Lives In This Lighthouse... on June 6, 2026, and Last Survivor Wins $11,000,000, his newest upload as of October 25, 2026.
Is Mack Hopkins real? Are his videos real or staged?
Mack Hopkins is a real person: Variety, TheWrap, No Film School and ProVideo Coalition have all interviewed or credited him by name for his work on Beast Games. His videos are produced stunts, and he says so in his own descriptions. Two of his 2026 uploads, He stole my car, so I stole it back! and I Survived a Plane Crash, carry a legal disclaimer that although published in 2026, they were created before May 1, 2023. His bank video description says it used hidden cameras and calls the heist a simulation (next question). His AI video, Surviving 100 hours controlled by Ai from April 29, 2023, has about 5.5 million views and is the video Famous Birthdays highlights.
Is Mack Hopkins’ bank video real?
Mack Hopkins’ bank video was a simulation built around one participant, according to his own description. I Convinced a Stranger to Rob a Bank, posted April 4, 2026, has about 25 million views as of October 25, 2026, his most viewed upload. The description says the shoot used many hidden cameras and camera operators, that the participant was told about some cameras partway through the simulation but did not see how many until he watched the edit, that some cameras were digitally removed until the reveal, and that a safety harness from the opening car stunt was removed from some shots. It opens with Hopkins joking that shutting down an entire town was not his most financially intelligent decision of the year, and ends: “Seriously do not try to attempt ANYTHING you saw in this video.”
Who stole Mack Hopkins’ car? Is the stolen car video real?
Mack Hopkins has not named who took his car; the story is told in He stole my car, so I stole it back!, posted March 6, 2026, which has about 6.8 million views. Its description says a stranger took the car after he accidentally left the keys inside, and the video follows him getting it back. The same description says the video was created before May 1, 2023, even though it came out in 2026. We found no police or press report about the car, so we treat it as the video describes itself.
How old is Mack Hopkins, and what is his real name? How tall is he?
Mack Hopkins is 26, born March 8, 2000, per Famous Birthdays, which lists his birthplace as the United States. That fits what he told Art of the Cut in May 2025: “I’m 25 now.” Mack Hopkins is the name Variety and No Film School print, and he goes by Mack on YouTube. He has not published a height, and we do not guess.
Where can I watch Mack Hopkins? What is his latest video?
Mack Hopkins posts long videos, such as his 27-minute plane crash video, on YouTube @MackHopkins; his newest upload as of October 25, 2026 is Last Survivor Wins $11,000,000, with about 5.8 million views, and his June 6, 2026 lighthouse video, A Murderer Lives In This Lighthouse..., has about 8 million. Photos and updates are on Instagram @mack. His editing work is on Beast Games on Prime Video.
What is Mack Hopkins’ net worth?
Mack Hopkins does not publish a number and neither do we.
Does Mack Hopkins have a girlfriend or a wife? Is he single? Does he smoke? Who are his siblings?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Mack Hopkins?
As of October 2026, we found no agency or manager named for Mack Hopkins on his channel or in trade press; his hiring site, mackyoutube.com, credits Mack Youtube Production and links only his YouTube and Instagram. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking whether he left Airrack and MrBeast and whether his videos are real, and much of the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Mack Hopkins. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. One big premise per video, said in the title: survive a plane crash, steal back a car, talk a stranger into a bank heist. The videos run long (the plane crash video is 27 minutes) and lean on the editing he is known for at Beast Games: hidden cameras, reveals and a cut that holds the twist until the end.
Why it travels. The titles ask a question people want answered, and the answer only comes late. The bank video’s premise, an ordinary person pulled into a heist, is easy to retell, which is how it reached about 25 million views on a channel with seven uploads. The Beast Games credit gives him a built-in audience of MrBeast fans who search his name.
Brand fit. None of his 2026 descriptions we read carries a sponsor, so nobody right now. The natural fit is editing and creative software (No Film School reports he cuts in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects), cameras and gear, and brands that can sit inside a produced stunt. He has also worked on Beast Games, a Prime Video show, so a brand should ask early whether that work affects what he can take on.
