He also runs vehicle giveaways through his merch store, westengw.com, under published sweepstakes rules.

Questions people ask
Who is Westen Champlin?
Westen Champlin is a car and truck YouTuber from Winfield, Kansas, whose channel has about 6 million subscribers as of October 2026. Famous Birthdays calls him an “auto guru” known for under-the-hood fixes and restorations of trucks and cars, and his own About page keeps it short: “My name’s Westen. We make videos and have fun doing so.” His first upload, in February 2019, was a $1,000 auction Ford F350, and by April 2021 Off Road Xtreme was covering his plan to turn a broken Dodge Challenger Hellcat into a four-wheel-drive off-roader. He works with a small shop crew and posts long builds, road trips and stunts.
Did Westen Champlin get arrested or go to jail? Why did he get arrested?
As of October 2026, we found no report of an arrest of Westen Champlin in a major news outlet, and no accepted outlet has reported him going to jail. Two stories feed the question. Dexerto reported on June 17, 2024 that police came to a burnout party on his property at least twice over noise complaints and told him there would be a fine; the article says his video included a staged bit in which he appeared to be handcuffed and put in a cruiser, and that he was back at the party shortly after. And when Diesel Army titled a June 2025 road trip story “Ends In Fire And Arrests,” the arrest was of a motorcycle rider doing a wheelie at a taco stop, not of Champlin or his crew. Police also show up in his own titles, like Police Love My Racing Lawn Mower... and I Built a Backwards Cop Car To Confuse Police.
Is the Westen Champlin giveaway real?
Yes, Westen Champlin’s giveaways run as a sweepstakes with published official rules on his store, westengw.com. The rules name the sponsor as GW Country, Inc. of Winfield, Kansas, and a third-party administrator, Compliance Sweepstakes Services, LLC, that picks the winner at random. Merch purchases earn one entry per dollar spent, there is a free mail-in entry, and the rules say in capitals that no purchase is necessary. The current rules cover October 30 to November 30, 2026: a 1968 Camaro valued at $79,000 or a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali Ultimate valued at $78,000, each with $10,000 cash, or $45,000 cash instead, with a drawing on or about December 10, 2026. The store’s previous winners page lists seven past winners from Kansas, New York, Texas, Arizona, South Dakota, Louisiana and Oklahoma, most recently for a 2022 Cadillac Blackwing. The rules also warn that winners are contacted by phone or email, never through social media, and are never asked to pay.
What happened to Westen Champlin? Did Westen Champlin pass away?
As of October 2026, nothing has happened to Westen Champlin in any report we could find, and we found no report of his death. He is still posting: his channel added two videos between October 2 and October 15, 2026, per Social Blade, including I Built My Own Drag Strip At The Horsepower Ranch!. The biggest change this year is money and land, not health: MotorBiscuit reported on September 27, 2026 that in I Have to Sell Some Of My Car Collection he said the Horsepower Ranch, a complex with a drag strip, drift course and drift pad, is expensive enough that he has to sell part of his fleet. The list included a salvage-title 2022 Corvette he had paid more than $40,000 for, priced at $32,000, which he called possibly “the most money we’ve ever lost on a car.”
What happened to Westen Champlin’s Peterbilt?
Westen Champlin’s custom Peterbilt 379 caught fire on a 1,000-mile trip home to Kansas, as Diesel Army reported on June 21, 2025. While it towed his Cummins-swapped Mustang, the Smoke Stang, up a Colorado mountain pass, a positive starter cable rubbed through a fuel line and a broken air line fanned the flames; later the alternator belt snapped and the crew ran jumper cables from the Mustang to keep going. “This truck has broken down like at least six times, but we’ve made it!” he said. In September 2026 he posted We Built A Semi-Truck Boat (The PeterBoat). Commentary channels have also covered a dispute between him and a trucking shop over work on the truck; we found no report of it in a news or trade outlet we accept, so we do not repeat the claims.
What happened to Dom from Westen Champlin? Who is Wade?
Westen Champlin has not explained a crew member named Dom leaving in any source we could find, so we do not guess. What is public: MotorBiscuit described Wade as his lead mechanic in September 2026, reporting that Champlin secretly bought a Camaro SS at auction and gave it to Wade as a drift car, and a separate MotorBiscuit story named Kyle as his mechanic on the Temu tuk-tuk video. If Champlin or a crew member addresses the Dom question on the record, this entry will add it.
Why is Westen Champlin rich?
Westen Champlin has not published his income, so we can only say what is public as of October 2026. His channel has about 6 million subscribers and more than 751 million total views, per Social Blade, with recent uploads regularly past 2 million views and one, We Put A 10.3L Engine In A 56 Year Old Car And Drove It Home, at about 12 million. He sells merch and runs vehicle sweepstakes through westengw.com, and he buys and resells cars. The big-ticket items are on screen: video titles include a $150,000 amphibious truck, a $150,000 luxury school bus and a $500,000 drift track. He has also said the Horsepower Ranch costs enough that he had to sell cars to fund it.
Where is Westen Champlin from? What state is he in?
Westen Champlin is from Winfield, Kansas, where he was raised on a farm, per Famous Birthdays. He still works out of Kansas: Diesel Army calls Kansas his home base, his sweepstakes sponsor is listed in Winfield, and a September 2026 MotorBiscuit story followed his tuk-tuk taxi stunt in a Wichita mall parking lot. We do not publish shop or home addresses.
How old is Westen Champlin? What is his real name?
Westen Champlin is 28, born July 23, 1998, per Famous Birthdays. Westen Champlin is the name he uses on his channel, and we have found no other name for him in any source.
Where can I watch Westen Champlin?
Westen Champlin posts long builds, road trips and stunts on YouTube @WestenChamplin, about 279 videos as of October 2026. Searched builds are there by title: Driving My 120,000 LB Tank Thru Everything, I Built A $150,000 Luxury School Bus, Police Love My Racing Lawn Mower..., I Surprised My Brother With A Junk Yard Lamborghini and Cheap Diesel Trucks VS 800 Mile Road Trip. His merch, giveaway entries and cars for sale are on westengw.com.
What is Westen Champlin’s net worth?
Westen Champlin does not publish a number and neither do we.
Is Westen Champlin married? Does he have a wife, girlfriend, kid or brother? Is he Christian, a Trump supporter, or did he lose weight?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Westen Champlin?
As of October 2026, no agency or manager is named for Westen Champlin on his YouTube About page or his store, and we found none in trade press. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because he is one of the most watched car creators on YouTube with no Wikipedia page, and people keep asking whether he was arrested and whether his giveaways are real. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Westen Champlin. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Buy something cheap, broken or absurd, put a bigger engine in it than anyone should, then drive it somewhere far. The titles do the selling, a dollar figure or a dare in every one, and the payoff is watching a small Kansas crew fix things on the side of the road. He plays the guy in over his head, and the shop behind him is good enough that it usually works.
Why it travels. Every video has a question a viewer can answer in one line: does the tank drive through everything, does the old truck make 800 miles, does the Temu tuk-tuk survive the highway. Recent uploads mostly land between about 1.5 million and 12 million views, and the trade press picks them up as news, from Diesel Army to MotorBiscuit, which sends new searchers back to the channel.
Brand fit. Diesel parts, tools, tires, trucks, off-road gear and anything sold to people who wrench on their own vehicles. He already runs his own merch and sweepstakes business, so a brand would sit inside a well-oiled store and giveaway machine rather than build one. Brands that cannot stand next to burnouts, police cameos and engines that catch fire should look elsewhere.
