Questions people ask
Who is Josh Pray?
Josh Pray is a comedian born and raised in southwest Florida who tours as a stand-up and posts comedy online every day. His club bios at Funny Bone Orlando and the Texas Theatre in Dallas list dance videos, skits, movie and music reactions and his “5 things” segment, and say he has performed across the continental U.S., in Hawaii and in Ireland. A 2022 Egyptian Theatre listing says his act runs from clean to adult and calls him a personality as much as a comedian, citing Martin Lawrence, Don Rickles and Jim Varney as influences. In Ireland he is still best known for his 2019 videos about hurling and Gaelic football.
What happened to Josh Pray at Barstool? Did he work for Barstool Sports?
We found no record that he ever worked at Barstool Sports. None of the press on him that we read, from the Irish Post, IrishCentral and Newstalk in 2019 to venue bios in 2022 to 2026, mentions Barstool, and we found no Barstool show or blog that lists him. What is public: he built his audience on his own channels, mainly Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, and sells his own tour. If he is ever tied to Barstool on the record, this entry will say so.
What happened to Josh Pray?
Most people asking mean Ireland in 2019. In July 2019 his reaction to hurling went viral, and videos on Gaelic football and camogie followed. Tourism Ireland and the GAA brought him to Croke Park for the drawn Dublin vs Kerry final on September 1, 2019. Some people online said the ticket should have gone to a lifelong fan, and on September 11 he said he was taking a break from posting about Irish culture “due to the negative nature of some messages,” per Newstalk. A day later he posted that he was not leaving and announced a live tour of Ireland, per the Irish Post, and on September 14 he celebrated Dublin’s win, per Balls.ie. Since then he has kept posting and touring in the U.S.
Is Josh Pray still touring? Where are his 2026 tour dates?
Yes, as of October 19, 2026. Funny Bone Orlando lists him on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at 7 pm, 21 and over. Recent shows on the record include Dallas in October 2023 per a Dallas News listing, and the Egyptian Theatre in Boise on July 16, 2022. Ticket resale sites list other dates; check with the venue before buying. He is also still uploading: Social Blade shows new YouTube videos on most days in early October 2026.
Why did Josh Pray stop posting about Ireland and the GAA?
He said so himself in September 2019: he was taking a break from posting about Irish culture because of negative messages from some people based in Ireland, after critics called his final ticket opportunistic, per Newstalk and Beat 102 103. He told RTÉ’s Liveline the critics “don’t speak for the majority of Ireland” and that his focus was “to bring joy to people.” The break lasted days, not months: he said he had about 1,800 supportive messages in two days and posted that he “ain’t going nowhere,” per the Irish Post, which reported confirmed venues for a live show in Dublin, Kerry, Tipperary and Cork.
Where is Josh Pray from? Where does he live?
Immokalee, Florida, which a 2022 Egyptian Theatre listing calls a “very small, yet nationally known, town.” His club bios say he was born and raised in southwest Florida, and IrishCentral described him as Florida-based in 2019. We do not publish more than that about where he lives.
How old is Josh Pray? What is his real name?
He has not published a birthdate that we could find, so we do not list an age. He performs as Josh Pray on every platform and poster, and no other name has been published by him or by the press.
Is Josh Pray on Wikipedia?
Not as of October 19, 2026: English Wikipedia has no article about him. This entry is our sourced version of the basics, with every fact linked on the page.

YouTube @JoshPray, with more than 5,000 videos since 2013, Instagram @joshpray and X @_joshpray. He also posts daily on Facebook and TikTok, per his club bios. Live, he plays comedy clubs and theaters; Funny Bone Orlando is the next listed date.

Who represents Josh Pray?
His YouTube About page lists one email for live events and shows and another for promotions and business inquiries; no agency or manager is named. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking what happened to him, and the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Josh Pray. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Volume and range. He posts every day, more than 5,000 YouTube uploads since 2013, and moves between skits, dance clips, reactions and a list segment, so there is always something new and the voice stays the same. The reaction videos work because he is genuinely discovering the thing on camera, and the joy reads as real.
Why it travels. The hurling video is the model: an outsider loving something a whole country already loves, which that country then shares back to itself. Irish outlets covered him again and again in 2019 because each new reaction was a story for them. Clips like these spread through shares, so a single good one can carry him into a new audience overnight.
Brand fit. Food, drink, travel and sports brands that want a warm, broad audience, plus tourism boards; Tourism Ireland and the GAA already ran that play with him in 2019. His bio says the act runs from clean to adult, so a brand should pick the clean lane on purpose. The 2019 backlash over a gifted final ticket shows that a sponsored perk can draw criticism aimed at the creator, so a brand should plan how a gift like that is framed.
