Good Good is a golf YouTube group and apparel company from Frisco, Texas, known for long-form buddy-golf matches, majors and challenges filmed like a broadcast. Garrett Clark, Stephen Castaneda and Matt Scharff started it in 2020 with Matt Kendrick as CEO, and it grew into a YouTube channel with about 2.17 million subscribers, a clothing line and its own events, backed by a $45 million investment round in March 2025. The cast has turned over: Grant Horvat and Micah Morris left in 2022, Luke Kwon in 2024 and Brad Dalke in June 2026. In August 2026 a Callaway driver ad that showed Clark shoving creator Alexis Miestowski to the ground cost Good Good its Callaway partnership, several national retailers and the title sponsorship of a PGA Tour event, and on September 2 Kendrick stepped down as CEO. As of October 2026 the three founders are still in it, board member Nahid Giga is interim CEO, and the main channel is posting a daily series, Golfing 50 States in 50 Days.

Questions people ask

Who owns Good Good Golf?

As of October 2026, Good Good Golf is a private company backed by outside investors, and it has not published who owns how much of it. Garrett Clark, Stephen Castaneda and Matt Scharff are the creators credited as co-founders, and the company’s own March 2025 release says Good Good began in 2020 when Clark and Matt Kendrick met at a golf tournament; Kendrick ran it as CEO until September 2, 2026. The largest disclosed investment is a $45 million round announced March 20, 2025, led by Creator Sports Capital with Manhattan West Private Equity, Sunflower Bank, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and more than 50 other investors, per Business Wire. Good Good is not publicly traded and has no stock. The apparel is part of the same company, not a separate owner.

Who started Good Good Golf, and when?

Good Good Golf was started in 2020 in Frisco, Texas, by Garrett Clark, Stephen Castaneda and Matt Scharff, with Matt Kendrick as CEO. D Magazine reported that the group took shape that year with Clark, Castaneda, Scharff and Micah Morris, and that Kendrick, who had run the fishing channel Googan Squad, suggested the name. Clark already had a following as GM Golf, and Golf Monthly says it was Clark who talked his friends into the channel. Tom “Bubbie” Broders joined that summer.

Who is in Good Good now?

As of October 2026, Good Good’s core members are co-founders Garrett Clark, Stephen Castaneda and Matt Scharff, plus Tom “Bubbie” Broders. The company’s site lists 16 people under “Meet the Good Good Crew” as of October 28, 2026, including Sean Walsh and Alexis Miestowski and Marissa Wenzler of Good Good Girls. Walsh’s status is the open question: Heavy reported on October 2 that he had been missing from the main channel with no official word, and a week later he appeared on Day 12 of the 50 States in 50 Days series. Neither he nor Good Good has announced an exit.

Who left Good Good?

Four well-known members have left Good Good as of October 2026. Micah Morris and Grant Horvat left in 2022 and signed with TaylorMade in January 2023, per Golf Monthly. Luke Kwon announced on April 3, 2024 that he was leaving to “take a bet on myself,” and Brad Dalke announced his exit on June 25, 2026, citing personal reasons, in I Am Leaving Good Good. Dalke left about two months before the Callaway ad, and we found no report linking the two. Off camera, CEO Matt Kendrick and president Joe Flannery stepped down on September 2, 2026. Horvat, Morris, Kwon and Dalke all play in Your Golf Tour in 2026.

Why did Grant Horvat leave Good Good?

Grant Horvat left Good Good in late 2022 to focus on his own channel, by both sides’ public accounts. In January 2023 Garrett Clark said Horvat “wants to only do his own brand, his own channel,” and Tom Broders said the group had offered him a strong deal to stay, per Golf Monthly. In his own video at the time, Horvat gave few details and said he could not share more. Neither side has described a falling out beyond that, and in 2026 Clark plays in Horvat’s creator league, Your Golf Tour. The full story is on our Grant Horvat entry.

What happened with the Good Good Callaway ad?

The Good Good Callaway ad, posted August 21, 2026 to promote the co-branded Quantum driver, showed co-founder Garrett Clark shoving creator Alexis Miestowski to the ground with the line “Do not touch my new driver.” It was meant as a parody of the horror film Obsession, per CBS News, but drew wide criticism for depicting violence against a woman and was pulled. Good Good said the video “depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand,” and Clark posted an apology video calling it “the worst ad known to man” and saying “I do not support DV (domestic violence) or abuse,” per the Associated Press. Callaway CEO Chip Brewer said Callaway had approved the video and that approval “never should have happened.” Within about two weeks Good Good lost Callaway, its PGA Tour title sponsorship, its Golf Channel show and four retailers, Dick’s, Golf Galaxy, Target and PGA Tour Superstore, per Front Office Sports.

Is Good Good still with Callaway?

As of October 2026, Good Good is no longer with Callaway: Callaway ended the partnership, which began in 2023, “effective immediately” on August 27, 2026, and committed $1 million to organizations that work to prevent violence against women, per GOLF.com. The next day CEO Matt Kendrick posted on X that Callaway “approves it then asks us to take the fall,” then told Front Office Sports the post was “reactionary,” that he was not considering a lawsuit and that he apologized to Callaway, per GOLF.com. Neither company has announced a new deal, and Good Good has not named a new equipment partner.

Did Good Good’s CEO get fired?

Good Good CEO Matt Kendrick stepped down on September 2, 2026, along with president Joe Flannery, per an internal memo reported by Front Office Sports. The memo said Kendrick “has decided to step down”; some outlets described the exits as an ouster, and the company has not said more. It came days after his late-night X post criticizing Callaway, which had about 8.8 million views, per GOLF.com. Nahid Giga, an early investor and board member, became interim CEO, and CFO and COO Alex Puchala runs day-to-day operations. Good Good had earlier fired its VP of brand and marketing and one other employee over the ad.

Is Good Good Golf dying or going out of business?

As of October 2026, Good Good Golf is still in business and still posting, and no outlet has reported layoffs, a sale or a shutdown. Front Office Sports reported on October 5, 2026 that recent videos averaged just under 1 million views, roughly in line with its history, that the channel gained about 20,000 subscribers in 30 days, and that its online store had its biggest traffic days ever in the last week of August, with hundreds of course pro shops still carrying the gear. The losses are real: Callaway, four national retailers, a PGA Tour title sponsorship, a Golf Channel season and its CEO all went in about two weeks. The company says it hopes to win back its former retail partners.

What is Good Good Golf worth?

Good Good Golf’s valuation has never been published. When it raised $45 million in March 2025, then CEO Matt Kendrick declined to give a valuation but called Good Good “a highly profitable business,” per GOLF.com; the $45 million is the size of the round, not the company’s value. No revenue figure has been reported by an outlet we would cite. Good Good is private, so there is no stock to buy.

What is the Good Good Championship, and when is it?

The Good Good Championship was the name of a new PGA Tour fall event, announced October 20, 2025, with Good Good as title sponsor, set for November 12 to 15, 2026 at Omni Barton Creek in Austin with a 120-player field, per GOLF.com. Good Good stepped away as sponsor on August 27, 2026, and the Tour renamed it the Austin Championship, still on the same dates with a $6 million purse, per Front Office Sports. It has not been played, so there is no winner yet. Good Good also used the name for its own $100,000 event for creators and pros at Westin Kierland in Scottsdale in 2023, per Monday Q, and runs other events such as the Desert Knockout on Golf Channel.

What happened to Big Break x Good Good?

Big Break x Good Good, a Golf Channel reboot of Big Break with Good Good announced in October 2025 and set to premiere August 25, 2026, was cancelled before it aired. Golf Channel postponed it after sponsor Golf Galaxy pulled out over the Callaway ad, then cancelled the season on August 27, 2026, saying “the intended outcome of the series can no longer be fulfilled,” per Golf Channel. The winner was to get a spot in the Austin PGA Tour event, so no winner has been announced. Matt Scharff was announced as co-host. Golf Channel plans a new Big Break in 2027 with no Good Good link.

Who are the Good Good Girls?

Good Good Girls is Good Good’s women’s channel, run by Alexis Miestowski and Marissa Wenzler, per Front Office Sports, with about 179,000 YouTube subscribers as of October 2026. Miestowski is the creator who appeared in the August 2026 Callaway ad. In late September 2026 Miestowski and Wenzler were named co-general managers of the Dallas Horsemen in the Grass League, the first women to hold that job in the league. Both are on Good Good’s crew page.

Where can I watch Good Good?

Good Good’s matches, majors and series are on YouTube @GoodGood, with about 2.17 million subscribers as of October 2026; its most viewed video is The Good Good Major UK from August 2022, at about 11.3 million views. Pro-level rounds are on Good Good Pros and the women’s channel is Good Good Girls. Members also post on their own channels, including GM Golf, Matt Scharff and Stephen Castaneda, and apparel is sold at goodgoodgolf.com.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Good Good. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Good Good is buddy golf with stakes: friends who can really play, filmed like a broadcast in long matches, “majors” and challenges, with the same cast week after week so viewers pick sides. The logo is on every shirt in every frame, which is how a YouTube channel turned into a clothing company.

Why it travels. Long matches hold viewers for half an hour and bring them back for the next one, and every member’s own channel feeds the main one. Former members have not taken the audience with them: the channel still averaged close to 1 million views per video in October 2026, after the August fallout, per Front Office Sports, while the people who left built their own followings and a rival league.

Brand fit. Golf equipment, apparel, travel and anything sold to younger golfers fit the audience. The August 2026 ad is now the case every brand in creator golf studies: a parody both companies approved, and both paid for it. With an interim CEO and retail partners still away in late 2026, a brand would want to know who signs off on creative and which members are under contract before signing anything long term.
