The PGA Tour Creator Classic is a golf event the PGA Tour created for content creators, played on the Wednesday before one of its marquee tournaments and streamed live on the Tour’s YouTube channel. The Tour and Pro Shop Studios, the producers of Netflix’s Full Swing, launched it at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta on August 28, 2024, where Luke Kwon won a four-man playoff. It grew into a three-event series presented by YouTube in 2025: Grant Horvat won at TPC Sawgrass in March, a team with Brad Dalke and Erik Anders Lang won at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in May, and Dalke won the $100,000 finale at East Lake in August. Most editions were eight holes of stroke play on the back nine, with the leaders going to a playoff. As of October 2026 there has been no Creator Classic in 2026: the Tour skipped The Players in March, per Front Office Sports, and has not announced what comes next.

What is the PGA Tour Creator Classic?
The PGA Tour Creator Classic is a short golf event the PGA Tour runs for YouTube and social media golf creators, played on the Wednesday before one of its big tournaments on the same course the pros use that week. The Tour produced it with Pro Shop Studios, the company behind Netflix’s Full Swing, and streamed it on its YouTube channel, with Tour rules officials, ShotLink scoring and shot tracing, per Golf Digest. There have been four editions, from August 2024 to August 2025.
Who won the Creator Classic?
The PGA Tour Creator Classic has four winners as of October 2026: Luke Kwon at East Lake in August 2024, Grant Horvat at TPC Sawgrass in March 2025, the team of Josh Richards, Erik Anders Lang and Brad Dalke at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in May 2025, and Dalke alone at East Lake in August 2025. Every edition so far has been decided in a playoff. Dalke is the only player to win twice, once on a team and once on his own.
Is there a Creator Classic in 2026? Who won the Creator Classic 2026?
As of October 2026, no PGA Tour Creator Classic has been held in 2026, so there is no 2026 winner. Front Office Sports reported on March 9, 2026 that the Tour would not stage one at The Players, citing a source who said the Tour never set out to make it annual at any one tournament, and that the Tour had not announced what was next. We found no edition at the Tour Championship in August 2026 either. If you are looking for a recent winner, you may mean the March 2025 edition at TPC Sawgrass, which Grant Horvat won.
When is the next Creator Classic?
As of October 2026, the PGA Tour has not announced a date for the next Creator Classic. The last one was played on August 20, 2025 at East Lake, and the Tour’s Creator Classic page still describes that event. Many of the same creators now play Your Golf Tour, the league Grant Horvat and the Bryan Bros announced in March 2026. If the Tour announces a new date, this page will add it.
Who won the Creator Classic 2025?
The PGA Tour held three Creator Classics in 2025, with three different winners. Grant Horvat won at TPC Sawgrass on March 12 with a 15-foot birdie on the first playoff hole (PGA Tour). Josh Richards, Erik Anders Lang and Brad Dalke won the team event at the Philadelphia Cricket Club on May 7 (PGA Tour). Dalke then won the $100,000 finale at East Lake on August 20, beating Sean Walsh, Luke Kwon and Micah Morris in a playoff (PGA Tour).
Who won the Creator Classic 2024? Was there one in 2022 or 2023?
Luke Kwon won the first PGA Tour Creator Classic at East Lake on August 28, 2024, making birdie on the par-5 18th in a playoff with Wesley Bryan, Sean Walsh and Roger Steele (PGA Tour). Bryan had the low score in regulation at 2 under. There was no Creator Classic in 2022 or 2023; the 2024 event was the first, and Kwon took home a cup and a Blackstone griddle, per Golf Digest.
Did Grant Horvat win the Creator Classic?
Grant Horvat won the PGA Tour Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass on March 12, 2025, the eve of The Players. He, George Bryan IV of the Bryan Bros and Chris Solomon of No Laying Up finished eight holes at 1 or 2 over, and Horvat won the playoff on the island-green 17th with a pitching wedge from 131 yards and a 15-foot birdie, per the PGA Tour. “I think today I kind of proved something to myself,” he said. See our Grant Horvat entry.
Who is in the Creator Classic?
The PGA Tour Creator Classic field changed every time, with 10 to 16 players drawn from YouTube golf. Regulars include Luke Kwon, Sean Walsh, Brad Dalke, Garrett Clark and Micah Morris, all current or former Good Good players, plus the Bryan Bros, Fat Perez of Bob Does Sports, Roger Steele, Gabby Golfgirl, Tisha Alyn, Peter Finch and Paige Spiranac. The May 2025 team event added non-golf stars Marques Brownlee, Kyle Lowry, Josh Richards and Dude Perfect’s Tyler Toney. The August 2025 finale had 12 players, one of them qualifier winner Daniel Saloner (Short Game King), per the PGA Tour. No 2026 field has been named as of October 2026.
Is the Creator Classic 9 holes? What is the format?
The PGA Tour Creator Classic is usually eight holes of gross stroke play, Nos. 10 to 17, with the leaders going to a playoff on a ninth hole, which is why it is often described as a nine-hole event. At East Lake the top four went to a playoff on the par-5 18th; at TPC Sawgrass in March 2025 the top three replayed the island-green 17th. The May 2025 edition was the exception: four teams of three playing alternate shot. The August 2025 finale was the first with prize money, $100,000 winner-take-all, per the PGA Tour. There are no handicaps, which MyGolfSpy argued left weaker players out of it early.
Is the Creator Classic a PGA event?
The Creator Classic is a PGA Tour event in the sense that the Tour created, sanctioned and broadcast it, with Tour rules officials and ShotLink data, per Golf Digest. It is an exhibition rather than part of the tournament itself: the creators play it on the Wednesday of tournament week, before the pros start. It is also separate from the PGA of America, which runs the PGA Championship.
Where is the Creator Classic played?
The PGA Tour Creator Classic has been played at three courses, each on the eve of a Tour event: East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta before the Tour Championship (August 2024 and August 2025), the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida before The Players (March 2025), and the Wissahickon Course at the Philadelphia Cricket Club before the Truist Championship (May 2025). Fans with a practice round or grounds ticket for that week could watch in person; Golf Digest counted about 2,000 at the first one.
How do you watch the Creator Classic?
The PGA Tour Creator Classic streamed live and free on the PGA Tour’s YouTube channel, which has about 1.78 million subscribers as of October 2026, and was simulcast elsewhere: ESPN+ and Peacock in 2024, and YouTube TV, Golf Channel, ESPN+ and the Tour’s free streaming channels in 2025, per the PGA Tour. The first one peaked above 105,000 live viewers on YouTube, per Golf Digest.
Did a Barstool personality play or win the Creator Classic?
No Barstool Sports personality has won the PGA Tour Creator Classic as of October 2026, but one played: Trent Ryan of Barstool Sports was in the 10-player field at TPC Sawgrass on March 12, 2025. He made a 10 on the 16th and an 11 on the island-green 17th and finished 29 over, last in the field, per the PGA Tour. “Usually, you aren’t very happy with an 11, but people were rooting me on, so it was fun,” he said, and Golf.com wrote that the gallery chanted his name. Former Barstool host Jake Marsh called the first edition in 2024. Grant Horvat won the event Ryan played.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with PGA Tour Creator Classic. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Eight holes, a playoff, and a broadcast that looks like real Tour golf: the same course the pros play the next day, ShotLink numbers and shot tracers, with creators whose audiences already know them by first name. It is short enough to watch in one sitting and ends in sudden death every time, which is most of the appeal.
Why it travels. Each creator brought an audience the Tour does not reach on its own, and the clips did the rest: Fat Perez’s 50-foot birdie and euro-step on the 17th, Trent Ryan’s 11 on the same hole, Horvat’s playoff wedge. The Tour said the March 2025 edition produced more than 16 million video views across social platforms, per Front Office Sports. The flip side showed in August 2025, when a field without the biggest names drew about 27,000 live viewers, per MyGolfSpy, a reminder that the creators, not the logo, carry the audience.
Brand fit. The Creator Classic proved that a tour can lend its course and its broadcast standards to creators and get a younger audience in return; Blackstone and YouTube put their names on it for that reason. For brands, the lesson is in who drew: the players with big personal followings moved the numbers. With no 2026 edition announced, creator-run formats like Your Golf Tour are where most of the same players compete now.
