Luke Kwon is a professional golfer and golf YouTuber who won on PGA Tour China in 2019, played in Good Good videos from September 2022 to April 2024 and won the first PGA Tour Creator Classic at East Lake in August 2024. Most searches about him now trace back to the Internet Invitational, the Barstool Sports and Bob Does Sports series filmed in August 2025: when it aired that October, viewers watched him sleep through his 9:30 a.m. tee time, and the backlash led to an 18-minute apology video (Golf Digest). As of October 2026 he is still posting and still competing: in May 2026 he was named to the 16-player roster of Your Golf Tour (Golf Digest). His YouTube channel has about 444,000 subscribers.

Questions people ask
Who is Luke Kwon?
Luke Kwon is a professional golfer and golf YouTuber. He played college golf at the University of Oklahoma, won the Qinhuangdao Championship on PGA Tour China in 2019 (NBC Sports) and played 47 PGA Tour events before he started appearing in Good Good videos in September 2022 (D Magazine). On August 28, 2024 he won the first PGA Tour Creator Classic at East Lake in a playoff (PGA Tour). His channel’s About line reads: “Not everyone is supposed to enjoy my videos.”
What happened to Luke Kwon at the Internet Invitational?
He slept through his tee time. The Internet Invitational is the team event Barstool Sports and Bob Does Sports filmed in August 2025 and released on YouTube from October 2025. In episode one, Kwon missed his 9:30 a.m. tee time for the morning match, so his partner PFT Commenter played the opening holes alone, and the pair lost 4&3 (Golf Digest, October 31, 2025). Golf.com reported that Dave Portnoy set the penalty at four holes of a nine-hole match, that Kwon had joked to PFT the night before that he would carry him, and that when a teammate confronted him at lunch Kwon said the late arrival “still makes no difference.” More than four million people watched that first episode in its first four days, per Golf.com. Golf Digest later called Brad Dalke the Internet Invitational champion.
What happened with Luke Kwon and Barstool? Why did he get cancelled?
We found no report in major or trade press of him being dropped by a sponsor or an event, but he did become the villain of Barstool’s show. On camera his teammate Ryan Whitney, of the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast, called him “the worst draft pick possible” (Golf.com), and Dave Portnoy posted that he was not sure anyone had ever hated someone as much as Whitney hated Kwon (MyGolfSpy, November 5, 2025). Kwon then posted an 18-minute apology video on his channel; per MyGolfSpy he apologized for sleeping in and for not apologizing sooner, and said his chirping at PFT was the kind of banter he has with his friends. Barstool’s Riggs, a rival captain, said on the Subpar podcast that he felt bad for Kwon “to a degree” and that he could have handled it better afterwards (Golf.com, November 7, 2025). Friends including George Bryan of the Bryan Bros defended him, Bryan saying the show set out to make him a villain (Golf Digest, November 21, 2025).
Why did Luke Kwon leave Good Good? What happened?
He left on his own terms in April 2024. D Magazine reported that he announced on April 3, 2024 that he was leaving Good Good to “take a bet on myself,” after about a year and a half in the group’s videos; he had taken the spot Micah Morris left in 2022. Neither he nor Good Good has given a fuller reason that we could source, and we found no report of a falling out with founders Garrett Clark, Stephen Castaneda or Matt Scharff. Four months later he won the Creator Classic as a solo creator.
What happened to Luke Kwon recently? Is he still playing golf?
Yes. As of October 2026 he is still competing and still posting. Days after the Internet Invitational aired he played the Asian Tour’s Singapore Open, where the tour joked on X about him making his tee time (Golf Digest, November 2025). In April 2026 Golf Digest ranked his match against fellow Oklahoma Sooner Brad Dalke the best YouTube golf video of the week and noted he still competes professionally (Golf Digest, April 24, 2026). In May 2026 he was named to the Your Golf Tour roster, the creator circuit run by Grant Horvat and the Bryan Bros (Golf Digest). Golf Digest’s October 15, 2026 preview of Internet Invitational season 2 recalls his tee time as a season-one moment and does not name him among the players it lists.
What happened between Luke Kwon and Sean Walsh?
Nothing bad on the record. Sean Walsh, a pro golfer who plays in Good Good gear, and Kwon are friends from junior golf in Texas who played a lot of rounds around Dallas during the pandemic, and Kwon helped introduce him to golf on social media, per The Spokesman-Review in August 2024. Days later they met in the Creator Classic playoff at East Lake, where Kwon beat Walsh, Wesley Bryan and Roger Steele with a birdie on the first extra hole (PGA Tour). Both are on the 2026 Your Golf Tour roster.
How old is Luke Kwon? What is his real name?
He is 34 (born August 11, 1992, per Famous Birthdays). Luke Kwon is the name he plays under on tour and uses on YouTube, and no other name has been published by him or by major press.
Where is Luke Kwon from?
He was born in Seoul, South Korea, per Famous Birthdays. He played junior golf in Texas (The Spokesman-Review), started college at St. Edward’s in Austin and transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where he beat Scottie Scheffler in match play at the 2016 NCAA Championship, per NBC Sports.
Is Luke Kwon a pro golfer? What are his career earnings and handicap?
Yes. He turned pro after Oklahoma, won the Qinhuangdao Championship on PGA Tour China in 2019 and finished fifth on that tour’s Order of Merit to earn Korn Ferry Tour status (NBC Sports), and he played 47 PGA Tour events (D Magazine). Since 2024 he has made Asian Tour starts, including a made cut in his debut at the Black Mountain Championship (Golf Monthly), and played the 2025 New Zealand Open (Golf Monthly). Official tour records list his earnings; we do not print money figures. As a touring pro he has no published handicap.
Where can I watch Luke Kwon?
On his YouTube channel @LukeKwonGolf, which posts matches against other top YouTube golfers. His 2022 to 2024 run is on Good Good’s channels, the Internet Invitational is on the Fore Play, Bob Does Sports and Internet Invitational YouTube channels, and in 2026 he plays Your Golf Tour events.
What is Luke Kwon’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
What about Luke Kwon’s health, height or personal life?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Luke Kwon?
We could not find a management company or agency named on his channel or in trade press. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking what happened at the Internet Invitational, and the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Luke Kwon. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Straight golf, played well. His videos are matches against other strong players, with little bit-making in between, and Golf Digest put it plainly in April 2026: he built his audience on elite play, not on big hosting. For a channel that says not everyone is supposed to enjoy it, the scorecard is the pitch.
Why it travels. His biggest moments came from other people’s stages: a playoff birdie at the Creator Classic on PGA Tour channels, and a missed tee time on Barstool’s show that more than four million people watched in four days. The villain edit spread further than any of his wins, which is how YouTube golf works, and his friends’ public defense kept the story going both ways.
Brand fit. Equipment, golf travel and tournament formats, where a real tour résumé matters more than on-camera charm. Brands that need a guaranteed friendly face may hesitate after October 2025; brands that like competition and a little friction will see a player people tune in to watch, for or against.
