What is public: the show’s episode notes usually credit “Pat, AJ Hawk, and the boys” without listing everyone at the table, so they cannot tell us which days he missed. The show’s YouTube channel built clips around him all year, from his reaction to the Patriots’ Super Bowl loss in February 2026 to Ted Williams in the spring and a World Cup bit, “Boston Connor, give me your best GOOOOOOOOOL!”, in the summer. On March 25, 2024, in character as Donny Don Don, he joked about Nebraska guard Keisei Tominaga after his last college game, a bit Awful Announcing said relied on a Japanese stereotype. Our read
Ames Create does not work with Boston Connor. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. He is the table’s homer and its fall guy. Patriots takes delivered with full conviction, roasts from guests, and the occasional character bit like Donny Don Don give a three-hour daily show someone to react to. The job grew out of production, which is why he often shows up mid-interview rather than leading it.
Why it travels. His clips travel on the show’s channel, not his own: a Patriots meltdown, a guest burying him, a costume or a stunt, each a finished minute with a clear target, and the channel has about 3 million subscribers to carry them. The flip side is that his biggest on-air jokes have also been the ones press picked up as controversies.
Brand fit. New England and NFL-adjacent brands, beer, betting and game-day products that already buy into the McAfee show. Any deal runs through the show and ESPN rather than a solo channel, since his own reach is mostly on X. Brands that need a careful, scripted voice are not the fit.
