Dylan Page
UK-based news creator known as News Daddy, who reads the day’s headlines to camera in short, fast TikTok videos and posts longer news roundups on YouTube.
Lifestyle · TikTok · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Dylan Page is a UK-based news creator who goes by News Daddy. He delivers the day’s headlines in short, fast videos from a neon-lit bedroom to about 19.8 million followers on TikTok, with longer roundups and on-location videos on YouTube. He is not a trained journalist, and a 2024 column in Press Gazette called his the number one news channel on TikTok anyway. The story people search is his fight with TikTok itself: his team said the account was banned in March 2025, and in January 2026 he announced a protest break from the platform.

Questions people ask
Who is Dylan Page?
Dylan Page is a UK-based news creator known as News Daddy. He reads the day’s headlines to camera in short, fast videos for about 19.8 million followers on TikTok, and posts longer roundups on YouTube, where he has about 1.15 million subscribers. Deadline reported in July 2024 that NATO invited him to its Washington summit, and Arab News reported in February 2025 that he started out as a janitor before going full time.
What happened to Dylan Page? Why was he banned from TikTok?
In March 2025 his team said his TikTok account, then at 14.9 million followers, had been permanently banned. The statement on his YouTube channel, signed by “Alex the Editor,” said no reason was given, that Dylan’s position was that no guidelines were broken, and that he could not appeal. The account came back: by June 2025 Citizen Digital was citing 15 million TikTok followers, and it has grown since. We have not found a public explanation from TikTok. In January 2026 Dylan said the platform had tried to ban the account for reasons he still did not know.
Why is Dylan Page leaving TikTok?
He announced a break, not an exit. In a TikTok video on January 5, 2026, reported by IBTimes UK and The Tab, he said five of his videos had been removed in two days, that others were being marked ineligible for recommendation, and that his pay per thousand views had dropped to the platform minimum. He called the break “a form of protest” and said he would be on YouTube for the next few days. The Tab reported that TikTok had not responded. His TikTok account is still up, at about 19.8 million followers in October 2026.
What happened to Alex the Editor? Did Dylan Page fire him?
We found no statement from Dylan and no press report saying Alex was fired, so we will not say he was. What is public: “Alex the Editor” signed the March 2025 statement about the TikTok ban on behalf of the team, which it called News Daddy Production, and Dylan’s YouTube channel has a 2026 video titled “I Met My Editor For The First Time... (He’s Insane).” If Dylan addresses it on the record, we will add it here with the date.
Why is Dylan Page in Ethiopia?
He visited in May 2026 to film. Ethiopia’s state broadcaster EBC reported on May 22, 2026 that he toured Addis Ababa, including the Adwa Victory Memorial, a coffee ceremony, the city’s riverside developments and the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, and planned to go on to Harar and the Afar region. His YouTube channel has a video titled “This happened to me in Ethiopia.” EBC’s report does not say who arranged the visit, and we have not found a statement from him on that. He has done this before: in June 2025 he filmed in Nairobi’s Kibera, and Citizen Digital quoted him saying he wanted to bring underrepresented stories to the mainstream.
What is Dylan Page’s accent? Is he South African?
He has not addressed where he grew up on the record in anything we could source to him, so we do not put a label on the accent. Press descriptions of his nationality differ from outlet to outlet. What is sourced: he works from the UK, and Deadline’s 2024 NATO story called him the top UK news TikToker.
Is this the basketball player or the author Dylan Page?
No. This entry is about the news creator. The Dylan Page on Wikipedia is an American professional basketball player born in 1982. The Torment novels are dark romance books published under the same name, and nothing we found connects them to News Daddy.
How old is Dylan Page? What is his real name?
He is 27; Famous Birthdays lists February 7, 1999. Dylan Page is the name he uses on every platform and the name press prints. No fuller name has been published.
Where can I watch Dylan Page?
TikTok @dylan.page for the daily headlines, and YouTube for roundups, which his channel says go up on Wednesdays and Saturdays. He is also on Instagram @dylanpage.ning, X @dylanpage910 and Patreon. Lookalike YouTube channels use his name and the News Daddy tagline; the real one is the channel with about 1.15 million subscribers.
What is Dylan Page’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
What are Dylan Page’s religion, politics and family?
Not something we cover, for any creator. On politics, the only on-record line we found is his team’s March 2025 statement that they aim to bring unbiased news; we do not assign labels.
Who represents Dylan Page?
We did not find a public agency or manager listing. His team posts as News Daddy Production. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because a very large number of young viewers get their headlines from him, and people keep searching what happened to his account. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Dylan Page. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. One person, one room, one headline at a time. Dylan delivers the news the way a friend would text it to you: the headline is the hook, the video is over before a TV package would have finished its intro, and the News Daddy name turns an anonymous aggregator into someone you check in with. YouTube adds what the bedroom cannot, longer roundups and videos filmed on location.
Why it travels. Speed and volume. He is often the first version of a story a young viewer sees, and each video is a single shareable fact. The size of that audience is why NATO, the World Governments Summit in Dubai and an ITN executive’s column have all treated him as a reference point for how Gen Z gets the news.
Brand fit. Careful. News is the hardest adjacency there is: a sponsor cannot pick the story its ad sits next to, and Dylan himself says TikTok has removed and limited his videos. The fits are brands comfortable with that, such as consumer tech and apps, travel brands for the on-location videos, and cause work like the ShareTheMeal campaigns with the UN World Food Programme that Arab News reported in 2025. A brand that needs a guaranteed safe slot should look elsewhere.
