Alex Choi is a car creator in Los Angeles who got famous as a teenager for rebuilding one Lamborghini Huracán over and over: the Unicorn builds, from a twin-turbo rally car in 2019 to a street-legal Super Trofeo Evo race car. A 2023 video of fireworks fired from a helicopter at a Lamborghini led to a federal charge, dismissed in July 2025 after pretrial diversion. Since then he has turned to nightcrawling, filming police activity, crashes and fires around LA, and his Palisades fire footage passed 670 million Snapchat views, per Reuters. About 2.1 million people follow him on Instagram and about 950,000 subscribe on YouTube.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Alex Choi. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Both eras run on the same thing: something you should not be able to film. First it was a Lamborghini turned into a rally car. Now it is a crash or a fire in real time, shot from the street before the news vans arrive.

Why it travels. Raw vertical footage of a live event needs no setup and gets shared as news, not as a creator video. He has also said he aims it at a younger audience, and Snapchat’s young audience is where it hit hardest.

Brand fit. Car parts, wraps and camera gear fit the build years. The current work sits next to real emergencies and has a federal case in its history, so for most consumer brands the honest answer is nobody right now. Camera, lighting and news partners are the realistic exceptions.
