Jeff Nadu is a former Barstool Sports personality and podcaster known for The Sit Down, a weekly mafia and crime history podcast, and for a long on-air feud with Rico Bosco. Barstool Rundown’s episode notes mention him as early as September 2020, and his own podcast bio says he was hired personally by Dave Portnoy. On June 5, 2023, Portnoy announced that Nadu was leaving Barstool after a dispute over pay, per Awful Announcing. In 2026 a Barstool podcast pairing him with Rico, Men of Honor, got as far as a trailer before a July 2026 Barstool blog said Portnoy turned down his pay ask. As of November 2026 neither he nor Barstool has announced a return, and he posts The Sit Down weekly to about 104,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Questions people ask

Who is Jeff Nadu?

Jeff Nadu is a former Barstool Sports personality who hosts The Sit Down, a weekly podcast about the Mafia, cartels and other organized crime. Barstool Rundown’s episode notes mention him from September 2020, including a September 2021 storyline titled “Jersey Jerry vs Jeff Nadu” with Jersey Jerry, and his podcast bio says he “was hired personally by Dave Portnoy.” He started The Sit Down in April 2021, and by late 2022 its episodes carried the line “Presented by Barstool Sports.” Since leaving Barstool in June 2023 he has kept the show going on his own; its guests have included Sammy “The Bull” Gravano, former prosecutors and FBI agents, per its episode notes.

What happened to Jeff Nadu?

Jeff Nadu left Barstool Sports in June 2023 and, as of November 2026, still hosts his own mafia podcast, The Sit Down, while turning up in Barstool storylines without being back on staff. The main events, in order: Dave Portnoy announced his exit on June 5, 2023 over pay; on May 16, 2024 he joined Barstool Rundown to talk about Rico Bosco and “trying to return to Barstool,” per the show’s notes; and in March 2026 Barstool posted a trailer for Men of Honor, a podcast he was meant to host with Rico, which a July 23, 2026 Barstool blog said fell through over money. Separately, he posted Episode 264 of The Sit Down, titled “Our Final Show,” on June 3, 2026, then came back on July 29, 2026 with Episode 265, “Just When I Thought I Was Out, They Pull Me Back In!” New episodes have come out weekly since, through Episode 278 on October 28, 2026.

Why did Jeff Nadu leave Barstool? Did he get fired?

Jeff Nadu left Barstool Sports in June 2023 after a pay dispute; Dave Portnoy described it as Barstool letting him walk a year early over money, and we found no report calling it a firing. Portnoy announced the exit on Barstool Rundown on June 5, 2023, per Awful Announcing and Barrett Media. Portnoy said Barstool offered Nadu a raise of about $10,000 for the optional second year of his contract, that Nadu wanted it doubled, to about $200,000 a year by Portnoy’s estimate, and that Barstool does not give 100% raises after a year. Portnoy also said Nadu had quit once before and asked to come back, and called him “the most ungrateful, selfish pig I’ve ever met probably.” Nadu confirmed on Twitter that he was done and wrote that he would bet on himself; in a statement Portnoy read on air, he said going solo was the best move for him.

Is Jeff Nadu back at Barstool? Is he still a Barstool employee?

No, as of November 2026 Jeff Nadu is not back on staff at Barstool Sports as far as the public record shows: neither he nor Barstool has announced a return since he left in June 2023. The closest he came was Men of Honor. After Rico Bosco lost a March 2026 bet with Dave Portnoy, his penalty was a season of a weekly podcast with Nadu, and Barstool posted a trailer on March 27, 2026. Through July 2026 The Yak’s episode titles tracked the talks, including “We Still Can’t Get A Firm Answer From Jeff Nadu” on July 9. On July 23, 2026, Barstool’s John Rich wrote that Nadu said he had been offered $60,000 for the show, asked Portnoy for more, and was turned down. The show page still has only the trailer.

What happened between Jeff Nadu and Rico Bosco? Why do Jeff Nadu and Rico have beef?

Jeff Nadu and Rico Bosco have run an on-air feud at Barstool Sports for years, and as of November 2026 neither has given a single origin story on the record that we could source. What is public: it was already a talking point by July 2022, when Nadu discussed his beef with Rico on The Steele & Nazz Podcast. On May 16, 2024, with Nadu talking about a return, Rico blew up at Dave Portnoy live on The Unnamed Show, in what a Barstool blog that day called an all-time meltdown, and Nadu reacted on Barstool Rundown the same evening. The Yak titled a July 15, 2025 episode “Rico and Nadu Go to Battle as The Forever War Wages On,” and in 2026 Barstool tried to make the two co-hosts of Men of Honor as Rico’s punishment for a lost bet. Rico’s side is in his entry.

Why is Jeff Nadu famous?

Jeff Nadu is known for two things: years of Barstool Sports storylines, from his exit fight with Dave Portnoy to his feud with Rico Bosco, and The Sit Down, the mafia podcast he has hosted since April 2021. The podcast is the bigger body of work: 279 episodes in its feed as of October 28, 2026, a 4.5 rating from about 1,530 reviews on Apple Podcasts, and 868 videos on YouTube. Barstool still turns him into content: in July 2025, Barstool Rundown and The Yak both covered what The Yak called “The Most Important Flight In Barstool History,” a trip of his tagged #NaduFlew.

Is Jeff Nadu from Lancaster? Where does he live?

What is Jeff Nadu’s real name?

What is Jeff Nadu’s net worth? Is Jeff Nadu rich?

Jeff Nadu does not publish a number and neither do we. The only dollar figures on the record are pay talks: in June 2023 Dave Portnoy said Barstool offered him a raise of about $10,000 and that he wanted about $200,000 a year, per Awful Announcing, and in July 2026 Barstool reported he said he was offered $60,000 for Men of Honor.

What about Jeff Nadu’s family, who he is dating, or his personal life?

Not something we cover.

Who represents Jeff Nadu?

As of November 2026, no agent or manager is named publicly for Jeff Nadu; The Sit Down’s YouTube channel and episode notes list a show email for contact, and the podcast feed lists an iHeartMedia address as its owner contact. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking why he left Barstool and whether he is back, and most of the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Jeff Nadu. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Two lanes that rarely touch. On Barstool he was the antagonist: a pay fight with the boss, a rival in Rico Bosco and a running bit about whether he will ever come back. On his own show he is a researcher, walking through a mobster’s life for an hour or sitting down with former mob figures, prosecutors and FBI agents.

Why it travels. His Barstool moments travel because they plug into storylines the audience already follows, so each one shows up across Rundown, The Yak and the blogs. His podcast travels the other way, through search: mob names, indictments and breaking cases, with YouTube titles built around a single figure or headline.

Brand fit. True crime, history and audio brands that want a loyal weekly listener base, plus the betting and men’s lifestyle lane his Barstool years point to. His public pay disputes with Barstool are on the record, so any partner should expect a direct negotiation with him rather than through a network.
