Sports · X · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Rico Bosco is a Barstool Sports personality based on Staten Island, New York, who started as a sports radio caller and a recurring gambling guest and never left, apart from eight days in December 2022. His Barstool bio lists him as co-host of Barstool Pick Em, the college football picks show with Dave Portnoy and Big Cat, and host of House Call, the touchdown-picks show he does with Jersey Jerry. He also fronts Bosco Industries, a YouTube series where he works other people’s jobs for a day, and he blogs college basketball with a heavy lean toward Alabama. Most of what people search about him is office storyline: a 2022 suspension, the exit and return, a 57-hour bus ride and a feud with Jeff Nadu.

Questions people ask
Who is Rico Bosco?
Rico Bosco is a Barstool Sports personality based on Staten Island, New York. Dave Portnoy wrote in 2016 that he had been a recurring character on Barstool for about two years and was its “resident gambling expert,” as quoted by Heavy. His Barstool bio now reads “#1 caller on terrestrial and satellite radio,” co-host of Barstool Pick Em and host of House Call and Bosco Industries. He went out one spot short of the final four on Surviving Barstool in January 2025, and was on the Barstool team that lost 543-0 on Celebrity Family Feud in July 2026, per Awful Announcing.
What happened to Rico Bosco? Why was he suspended?
Two office incidents became the story. On January 11, 2022, Dave Portnoy suspended him for one month after colleague Big T said Rico threw a full can of High Noon at him in the New York office; Portnoy’s posted ruling also listed anger management, an apology to Big T and a zero tolerance policy, per Heavy. In March 2024 he fell asleep on a Barstool live stream, Portnoy banned him from streams, and he was sent to Chicago by Greyhound, a trip he blogged from the bus. As of October 2, 2026 nothing public shows a current suspension: he posted on Barstool on September 29 and House Call ran on October 1.
Why did Rico Bosco leave Barstool? Is he still there?
He left for eight days in December 2022 and came back. Portnoy announced on December 7 that Rico had accepted a job at another company; Elite Sports NY reported it was Audacy, the parent of WFAN, where he was set to sign a multi-year deal with its betting brand BetQL. On December 15 the same outlet reported he was staying after what he called “self-reflection,” with Rico, Portnoy and Big Cat all saying it was not a bit. He is still at Barstool as of October 2026, and his contract is negotiated on air on the Pick Em bowl special, most recently in December 2025.
What happened between Rico Bosco and Jeff Nadu? Why did Rico freak out?
A long on-air feud that Barstool keeps turning into programming. Nadu left Barstool in June 2023 over pay, per Barrett Media. On May 16, 2024, with Portnoy considering bringing Nadu back, Rico blew up at Portnoy live on The Unnamed Show; a Barstool blog that day called it an all-time meltdown. In March 2026 Rico bet Portnoy on Alabama in the Sweet 16: double salary for ten years if Alabama won, a season of a weekly podcast with Nadu, called Men of Honor, if it lost. Michigan won. In July 2026 Barstool’s John Rich wrote that Nadu asked for more money and Portnoy turned him down, and the show page still has only a trailer.
Why is Rico Bosco an Alabama fan?
He has not published an origin story that we could find, and he is not an alum: he has called Nichols College his alma mater. What is public is the commitment. He blogs Alabama basketball and coach Nate Oats all season, The Mark Titus Show billed him as its Alabama basketball correspondent in November 2024, and in March 2026 he wrote that he gets a ring if Alabama ever wins it all. It has also cost him: when Alabama missed the 2025 Final Four he had to ride a Greyhound from New York to San Antonio, about 57 hours and 18 stops, per Awful Announcing.
Is Rico Bosco a firefighter?
Nothing he or Barstool has published says so, and we could not source it anywhere else. What is public: his Barstool bio lists radio caller, podcast co-host and show host, and Bosco Industries is a series where he shadows people at their jobs for a day. The episodes on his YouTube so far include concrete, sanitation, pest control, beekeeping, bartending and casino dealing.
Is Rico Bosco moving to Chicago?
Nothing public says so. Barstool’s personalities page files him under its New York office, in June 2024 he wrote about wild turkeys in his yard on Staten Island, and in March 2026 he described traveling to Chicago for the tournament streams, with one night moved to New York.
What is Rico Bosco’s real name? How old is he?
Not published, on both counts. Rico Bosco is a stage name, Heavy calls it a pseudonym, and neither he nor Barstool has put another name on the record that we could find. A name that circulates online traces back to a tabloid, which we do not use as a source. Famous Birthdays has no profile for him and he has not given a birthdate, so we do not print an age.
Where can I watch Rico Bosco?
Barstool Pick Em during college football season, House Call with Jerry and Terry every Thursday with Jersey Jerry, and Bosco Industries on YouTube @RicoBoscoBarstool. He posts on X @Return_Of_RB, Instagram @rico_bosco and TikTok @ricobosco33, and his blogs are on Barstool. For a longer sit-down, Billy Football interviewed him on his podcast in August 2024.
What is Rico Bosco’s net worth or salary?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
Who is Rico Bosco’s wife? Is he Italian?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Rico Bosco?
He is on staff at Barstool Sports, and his YouTube, X and TikTok profiles list no agent or booking email. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because he turned calling in to sports radio into a full-time job, and people keep searching what happened next. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Rico Bosco. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Rico plays the regular guy who talked his way into the building: a caller’s voice, a bettor’s confidence and a short fuse, seated next to Dave Portnoy and Big Cat, who poke at all three. Pick Em is a picks show on paper. People watch to see what happens to Rico this week.
Why it travels. Every storyline ends in a punishment or a prize, which makes it easy to clip and easy to follow: a bus ride, a salary bet, a podcast with his rival. Barstool’s other shows, blogs and social accounts then retell it, so one bad Saturday for Alabama becomes a week of content across the company.
Brand fit. Brands that already buy Barstool. He carries a DraftKings partner tag on X, Pick Em runs sportsbook and ticketing reads, and Bosco Industries is a natural home for workwear, tools and trades. The 2022 suspension and the dispute with a colleague are on the record, so anyone outside that lane should read this page first.
