Zac Townsend is a stand-up comedian and sketch writer based in Nashville, Tennessee, who co-created the sketch channel Paid Vacation. His YouTube channel describes him as a Nashville comedian and co-creator of Paid Vacation, and Paid Vacation’s channel credits the sketches to him and Ali Shahriari. Most people searching his name found him through his Kill Tony set in January 2026, covered below.
Was Zac Townsend on Kill Tony? What happened on his Kill Tony set?
Yes, Zac Townsend was a bucket pull on Kill Tony #754, recorded January 26, 2026, and released February 2, 2026, with Bert Kreischer and Rick Ingraham as guests, per the show’s episode page. In his minute he said he was 35 and compared guns to kids: both are dangerous, and people keep offering to let him hold them, per a transcript of the episode. In the interview he said he lives in Nashville, is originally from Connecticut, started comedy in Tampa, has done stand-up for eight years and makes his living from stand-up and sketch comedy, and that he was opening for Kreischer at the Moody Theater that Thursday. From the panel came “I think you’re hysterical. I think you’re so talented.” He also mentioned that his group had made a sketch about Kill Tony; Paid Vacation’s Kill Tony: The Video Game has about 216,000 views, and he was told they should make the video game too. Before he left the stage he was invited back for the next time the show plays Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. A clip of the set, “Funniest Guns & Kids Comparison”, circulates on fan channels.

Our read
Ames Create does not work with Zac Townsend. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Two lanes that feed each other. On stage it is tight, clean premises built for one minute, like the guns and kids bit that got him through a Kill Tony bucket pull. Off stage it is Paid Vacation: fake commercials, workplace parodies and now Cooked, a running kitchen series with recurring characters and short clips cut from every episode.
Why it travels. Workplace comedy travels because everyone has had the job. Cooked clips like Tally Game, past 3.3 million views in a week, are built for the feed: one situation, one character, a payoff under a minute. The Kill Tony set does the same work for his stand-up, a shareable clip from a show with about 2.8 million subscribers.
Brand fit. Restaurant tech, delivery apps, energy drinks, work boots and anything sold to people who work shifts, where a Pee-Vee’s parody would land as a joke rather than an ad. Paid Vacation already makes fake commercials, so a real one is a short step. Brands that cannot take a joke at their own expense should look elsewhere.
