Druski
Atlanta-raised sketch comedian behind the parody record label Coulda Been Records and the YouTube dating-show spoof Coulda Been Love, and host of the 2026 BET Awards.
Comedy · TikTok · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Druski is a comedian who started posting skits on Instagram in 2017 and turned a fake record label, Coulda Been Records, into a franchise of parody shows with rappers and athletes as willing guests. In 2026 he became the first in-show commentator on NBC’s The Voice and, per the Associated Press, the youngest host in BET Awards history. The same year brought two backlashes, over a botched name at the NFL Honors and a sketch playing Erika Kirk, and TIME put him on its 2026 TIME100 Creators list. His TikTok has about 15.5 million followers.

Questions people ask
Who is Druski? Why is he famous?
Druski, real name Drew Desbordes, is a comedian from the Atlanta suburbs who got famous on Instagram skits, starting in 2017 after he left Georgia Southern University and moved back home, as he told Complex. A frat-bro character and then Coulda Been Records, a fake label where he plays the label boss auditioning hopeless artists, pulled in rappers like Drake and Jack Harlow as guests, and Drake put him in the “Laugh Now Cry Later” video in 2020. He seems to be everywhere because the franchise keeps growing: Coulda Been Love on YouTube, The Voice, the BET Awards stage and a spot on TIME’s 2026 Creators list.
What happened to Druski recently? Why is he on The Voice?
In order, as of October 2026: in February 2026 NBC made him the first in-show commentator on The Voice for season 29, breaking down coaching calls and reacting to performances, a move Complex read as a push for a younger audience. Season 2 of Coulda Been Love premiered on his YouTube on February 12. He drew backlash at the NFL Honors in February and for an Erika Kirk sketch in March (both below). He was named BET Awards host on April 30 and hosted on June 28. In July he made a virtual cameo in the Love Island USA season 8 finale and TIME put him on its 2026 TIME100 Creators list. Those July items are the most recent dated news we could source.
What happened with Druski hosting the BET Awards?
He hosted it. BET announced him on April 30, 2026, and the Associated Press reported that at 31 he was the youngest host in the show’s 25 years, passing Kevin Hart, who hosted in 2011. The show aired live on June 28, 2026 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and Coulda Been Records made its stage debut with a mock audition bit, per Complex. Afterward he shared a text from Chris Rock calling him the “best host ever,” as reported by Black America Web.
What happened with Druski at the NFL Honors? Is that why he was getting cancelled?
It was one of two 2026 backlashes. Presenting the Offensive Player of the Year award at the NFL Honors during Super Bowl week in February 2026, he mispronounced the winner’s name, Seattle receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, as part of a joke. Speaking on CBS Mornings on February 19, he said “sometimes you can go too far,” and that he had reached out to Smith-Njigba to congratulate him but “didn’t get no response back,” per Black Enterprise. He was not dropped from anything we know of: he hosted the BET Awards four months later. He is not a football player; the football searches mostly lead back to this night.
What happened with Druski and Erika Kirk?
On March 25, 2026 he posted a sketch in a wig, prosthetics and makeup playing Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA. Forbes counted more than 70 million impressions on X within a day and reported that X’s Grok chatbot mistook the spoof for the real Kirk. Many viewers found it funny; critics called it disrespectful because of her husband Charlie Kirk’s death in September 2025, per Newsweek. Newsweek reported that Kirk had not publicly responded, and Druski did not comment to either outlet; his next post was a short clip captioned “AM I CANCELLED ?????”
Did Druski go to jail? Why was he arrested? Why is he in trouble?
No major outlet has reported that Druski was arrested or jailed, and we found no record of it. The legal matter on the record is civil: a lawsuit first filed in federal court in California in October 2024 named him among several defendants over an alleged 2018 assault. He denied it from the start, saying he was broke and living in Georgia at the time. On December 16, 2025, US District Judge Rita F. Lin dismissed the case without prejudice for failure to prosecute after the plaintiff’s lawyer withdrew, per Complex and TheGrio. His response: “It was only a matter of time before this frivolous lawsuit against me was dismissed.” Searches about a dispute with the streamer Certified Turtle turned up no press report or statement we could source, so we do not describe it.
What happened to Druski and Bambi? Why did he pick Pitbull?
Both are winners of Coulda Been Love, his YouTube spoof of dating shows, where contestants compete under nicknames the show gives them. Bambi won season 1, which ended in March 2025; on the finale he said he chose her for her “genuine intentions,” per The Direct. Season 2 premiered February 12, 2026 with a $100,000 prize, per Complex, and wrapped in late March with the contestant known as Pitbully winning, per Complex. That is a contestant, not the rapper Pitbull. Anything beyond the show is covered below.
What happened to Druski and Jack Harlow?
Nothing, as far as the public record shows. They are longtime friends and collaborators: TIME lists Harlow among the rappers who first picked up on Druski’s skits, and the two shared a Complex cover story in 2021 titled Real Friends. In September 2024 Harlow left a joking comment on a Druski post that set off fan chatter about Harlow’s own quiet spell, per Revolt. Neither has reported a falling out.
How old is Druski, what is his real name and where is he from?
He is 32, born September 12, 1994, per Famous Birthdays, which matches the AP describing him as 31 in April 2026. His real name is Drew Desbordes, printed by Complex, Newsweek and TIME. Famous Birthdays lists his birthplace as Columbia, Maryland, and he grew up in Gwinnett County, Georgia, outside Atlanta, per Complex.
Where can I watch Druski?
YouTube @druski has the full Coulda Been Love seasons and longer sketches. Short skits are on TikTok @druski and Instagram @druski. The Voice season 29 is on NBC and Peacock, and the 2026 BET Awards aired on BET.
What is Druski’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
What about Druski’s family, his kids or who he is dating?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Druski?
We did not find a current agency or manager listed on his own channels. Complex reported in 2021 that Jonny Shipes managed him; we have not confirmed whether that is still the case. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people search for what happened to him every week, and most of the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Druski. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Druski’s format is a straight-faced boss inside a fake institution: a record label, a dating show, a reality house. The premise never changes, so every new guest, contestant or celebrity cameo slots into a world the audience already knows, which TIME described as comedy used for world-building.
Why it travels. Famous guests bring their own audiences, and the bits are built from moments that clip cleanly: a bad audition, a contestant nickname, a reaction shot. The same instinct that makes his work spread also makes the misses spread, as the NFL Honors and Erika Kirk episodes showed in a single spring.
Brand fit. NBC and BET have both handed him live national stages in a single year, so mainstream fit is proven. The risk is the improvised edge: a live mic or a fresh sketch can turn into the story. Brands that want him should want the risk too, and plan for a bit to land somewhere they did not script.
