Casey Rocket is a stand-up comedian known for crab-walking onto the stage and improvising much of what follows, which he calls riffing. He grew up in North Georgia, started stand-up at Georgia Southern University, moved to Austin in 2021, worked the door at Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership and spent most of 2024 as a Kill Tony regular while co-hosting a podcast with William Montgomery. In late 2025 he pushed his tour dates and left Austin. He told Theo Von in July 2026 that he now lives in Chicago, is starting a screenwriting graduate program and is back on the road. His Instagram has about 330,000 followers.

Questions people ask

Who is Casey Rocket?

Casey Rocket is a stand-up comedian, now based in Chicago, whose act is mostly improvised riffing delivered at speed, usually after a crab walk to the microphone. He came up in Georgia and Atlanta, moved to Texas in 2021, won the inaugural Austin Comedy Competition and joined the first class of door guys at Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership. Kill Tony made him a regular in early 2024, and Deadline named him one of 15 comedians ready to break out in 2025.

What happened to Casey Rocket?

In order: his run as a credited Kill Tony regular ended in fall 2024, his name came off The William Montgomery Show in September 2025, and in October 2025 he posted that he was pushing the rest of that year’s tour dates. He left Austin that December, spent six months in St. Louis and then settled in Chicago. In a July 2026 interview with Theo Von he said he had stopped headlining for a while, “started over a little bit” on local shows, and is now running a new hour on tour.

What happened to Casey Rocket on Kill Tony? Why did he leave?

He has not given a public reason that we could source. What is public: the show’s own episode notes credit him in the cast for 35 episodes, from #652 (recorded February 5, 2024) to #686 (recorded September 23, 2024), alongside William Montgomery, Hans Kim and Kam Patterson, and he has not been credited in the cast since. His site lists him as a Kill Tony Hall of Fame member. Asked by Theo Von in July 2026 whether being attached to the show became too much, he said Kill Tony “gave me a platform” and that the pressure he felt came from himself more than from the show.

Why did Casey Rocket leave The William Montgomery Show?

Neither he nor the show has said why, in anything we could source. What is public: the podcast’s feed carried the title “The William Montgomery Show with Casey Rocket” from Ep. 119 (March 7, 2024) through Ep. 197 (September 11, 2025). Ep. 198, a week later, dropped his name, and it has been The William Montgomery Show since. He has said he left Austin that December.

Why did Casey Rocket cancel his tour?

In October 2025 he wrote on Instagram that he was “pushing the rest of this year’s tour dates” and would see fans soon “with riffs in tow,” as quoted by Distractify, which reported the tour was called If I Riff Before I Wake. The personal reasons he gave in that post are not something we cover. By July 2026 he was touring again under the name Return of the Prodigal Riff.

Why did Casey Rocket move to Chicago?

He answered this on This Past Weekend with Theo Von in July 2026. He said he left Austin in December 2025, lived in St. Louis for six months and then settled in Chicago, where he was due to start a graduate program in screenwriting at DePaul in September 2026. In his words, “it was time for me to do something else” and “I just wanted to make some changes in my life.” He also had kind words for the hot dogs.

What is Casey Rocket doing now? Is he on tour?

Touring and, by his own account, graduate school. His site and YouTube bio now describe him as Chicago-based, club calendars list him at Louisville Comedy Club on October 7, 2026 and at Comedy Works in Denver in March 2027, and he told Theo Von he has put an hour of stand-up on his Patreon.

How old is Casey Rocket? What is his real name?

He has not published a birth year, so we do not list an age. Famous Birthdays gives his birthday as January 11 with no year, and he has said he started stand-up at about 20 while at Georgia Southern University. He performs as Casey Rocket everywhere, and no other name has been published by him or by major press.

Does Casey Rocket have a disability?

Not something we cover.

Where can I watch Casey Rocket?

Instagram @caseyrocket, YouTube @CaseyRocket, TikTok @caseyrocket and Patreon. His sets as a Kill Tony regular are in episodes 652 to 686 on the Kill Tony channel, his podcast years are in The William Montgomery Show archive, and tour dates are on caseyrocketcomedy.com.

What is Casey Rocket’s net worth?

He does not publish a number and neither do we.

Who represents Casey Rocket?

His contact page lists Brillstein Entertainment Partners and United Talent Agency for management and booking, the same reps Deadline printed in December 2024. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep searching for what happened to him, and most of the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Casey Rocket. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. He has said he goes up with three jokes he knows he will tell, his “tent poles,” and strings the rest together by riffing, so no two sets match. The crab walk, the invented vocabulary and the full commitment make him identifiable in the first five seconds, which is exactly what a one-minute Kill Tony set rewards.

Why it travels. A Kill Tony minute plus the interview after it is a finished clip, and fan channels have cut his sets into compilations that run to hundreds of thousands of views each. The catchphrases are easy to repeat, and a regular slot put a new one in front of the audience every week.

Brand fit. Live comedy is the product: clubs, festivals, ticketing and the podcast sponsors already around that scene. His own bio calls the act nonsense comedy and the material leans on drug references, so family brands are not a fit. He has also said that chasing ticket numbers took the fun out of it, so anyone approaching him now should expect a comedian choosing his own pace.
