Iain Valliere is a Canadian men’s open bodybuilder who competed in the IFBB Pro League for close to a decade, placed seventh at Mr. Olympia in 2020 and 2021, and won pro shows from the 2020 New York Pro to the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow. He announced his retirement from competing in a YouTube video on September 7, 2023, saying the Olympia no longer excited him, as BarBend reported that day. Since then he has kept training on camera, picks contest winners on the Bro Chat podcast, and in July 2026 left Raw Nutrition to co-found Chosen Supplements, where his bio calls him a “retired-ish bodybuilder.” His Instagram has about 440,000 followers.

Questions people ask

Who is Iain Valliere?

Iain Valliere is a Canadian IFBB pro bodybuilder and YouTuber. He started competing as an amateur at the 2010 OPA Ottawa Championships, made his pro debut at the 2015 Toronto Pro Supershow and became a regular in the Mr. Olympia top 15, with a best finish of seventh in 2020 and 2021. His pro wins include the 2020 New York Pro, the 2021 Texas Pro and Tampa Pro, the 2022 Vancouver Pro and the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow, and he was runner-up at the 2021 Arnold Classic, per BarBend. He retired from competing in September 2023 and now makes training content, talks shows on Bro Chat and runs a supplement company.

What happened to Iain Valliere? What is he doing now?

In order: he won the Toronto Pro Supershow in 2023, qualified for that year’s Olympia, and then retired from competition on September 7, 2023 instead of going. Since then he has stayed in the sport as a content creator and commentator, giving contest predictions on the Bro Chat podcast with Fouad Abiad and others through 2026, as Fitness Volt covered in May 2026. In July 2026 Stack3d reported he had parted ways with Raw Nutrition to start Chosen Supps, and as of October 2026 he posts training and diet vlogs on YouTube most weeks.

Why did Iain Valliere retire? Is he retired?

He announced it in a YouTube video on September 7, 2023, aged 32. As BarBend quoted him, “Competing at this year’s Olympia didn’t make me excited anymore,” and the decision “felt like the hardest decision to make until I made it. Then it felt like the easiest decision of my life.” He said he got into competing because he loved training and would keep training. He also gave personal reasons, which are not something we cover. As of October 2026 he is still retired from competition, and his Chosen Supplements bio describes him as a “retired-ish bodybuilder.”

Is Iain Valliere making a comeback? Is he competing again?

Not that we could source, as of October 2026. He has not announced a contest entry, and we found no report of one in trade press. What is public: a June 21, 2026 upload is titled “Full Day of Eating & Training | Comeback Edition,” a July 26, 2026 upload is titled “The time has come...,” and his September and October 2026 vlogs are about getting lean, but none of the descriptions name a show or a date. In March and May 2026, Fitness Volt still described him as a bodybuilding veteran making picks, not a competitor. If he enters a show, this entry will say so.

Did Iain Valliere leave Raw Nutrition? What is Chosen?

Yes. Stack3d reported on July 21, 2026 that he had long been an athlete and ambassador for Raw Nutrition and was parting ways with the brand to start his own, Chosen Supps, with bodybuilders Sadik Hadzovic, Blake Course and Julien Geoffrion, targeting a September launch. The Chosen Supplements store is now selling pre-workout, protein, creatine and other staples, and lists him as a co-founder. In his words there, “Chosen feels like the natural next chapter.”

What is Iain Valliere’s connection to Chris Bumstead?

A long professional one: Valliere coached the Classic Physique star until 2022, when Hany Rambod took over, per Fitness Volt, September 2023. Asked about coaching him again, Valliere said, “I don’t see why he would go back to me because he’s getting the best coaching in the world,” and that he would rather support him as a fan.

How old is Iain Valliere? What is his real name?

He is 35, born November 27, 1990, per Famous Birthdays and the Muscle Insider profile. Iain Valliere is his own name; he competes and posts under it.

Where is Iain Valliere from?

Canada. Famous Birthdays lists Canada as his birthplace and his YouTube channel lists Canada as its country. The Muscle Insider profile says he studied Fitness and Health Promotion at Algonquin College in Ottawa from 2008 to 2010, and his first amateur show was the 2010 OPA Ottawa Championships. We could not source a hometown.

What is Iain Valliere’s workout routine?

He films most of it. His YouTube channel has full sessions by body part from 2026, such as arms, shoulders, legs and back, plus full days of eating and training, and his video descriptions link his training app, Fitnetic. The Muscle Insider profile sums up his approach as heavier weights and lower reps in the off-season and higher reps with moderate weight and shorter, more intense sessions in contest prep.

Where can I watch Iain Valliere?

YouTube @iain_valliere for training vlogs and Instagram @iainvalliere. His contest talk is on Bro Chat, the panel show on the Fouad Abiad Media channel and the Real Bodybuilding Podcast feed, where he regularly sits with Fouad Abiad and Seth Feroce, as in the 2026 Pittsburgh Pro predictions Fitness Volt wrote up in May 2026.

What is Iain Valliere’s net worth?

He does not publish a number and neither do we.

What about his height, family, health or personal life?

Not something we cover.

Who represents Iain Valliere?

We could not find a manager or agency named publicly by him or in trade press; his brand work runs through the sponsors and the app linked in his video descriptions. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep searching for why he retired and whether he is coming back, and the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Iain Valliere. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. The vlogs are simple: a full session or a full day, filmed and cut by the same editor, with Valliere explaining what he is doing and why while he does it. A decade of pro results gives the advice weight, and retirement lets him talk about the sport without a contest of his own to protect.

Why it travels. Bodybuilding fans follow people more than shows, and he sits in the middle of that network: Bro Chat panels, contest picks that Fitness Volt turns into articles, and long-running links to the sport’s biggest names. Titles that hint at a comeback keep the question alive, which keeps people clicking.

Brand fit. Supplements are now his own business through Chosen, so a competing supplement brand is out. Training apparel, gym equipment, meal prep and coaching platforms already fit the content he makes. Sponsors should be comfortable with the hardcore bodybuilding world he comes from, because the audience is.
