KOAM News introduced him as Fore Play’s co-founder in May 2026. He played hockey at Harvard and went on to cover golf for Barstool, per GOLF.com, which in April 2021 also noted his interview with Tiger Woods at Shadow Creek. In July 2023 the PGA Tour called him one of Fore Play’s “core four” and the lead analyst on Barstool’s first live golf broadcast, at the Korn Ferry Tour’s NV5 Invitational, and he is a playable golfer in PGA Tour 2K23 with Frankie Borrelli and Trent Ryan, per 2K’s Barstool Golf page.

What happened to Riggs Barstool? Is Riggs still on Fore Play?

As of October 2026, nothing has ended for Riggs: he is still a host of Fore Play at Barstool Sports. The show’s Apple Podcasts page names “Trent, Riggs, Frankie, Kevin Kisner” as its regulars, and the October 27, 2026 episode, “Internet Invitational Preview,” has Riggs, Frankie and Trent breaking down season 2 of the event, which premiered October 26 with a $4 million winner’s purse, per Golf Digest. The show added NBC golf analyst Kevin Kisner in March 2026, and Awful Announcing listed Riggs, Borrelli and Ryan as the team he joined. Most of the recent news about Riggs comes from 2025: he captained one of the two teams in the first Internet Invitational, per GOLF.com, and played a heated match against Barstool’s Kirk Minihane that October.

What is the Riggs Barstool controversy?

Riggs’s best-known disputes are on-the-record fights with traditional golf media and with Barstool colleagues, as of October 2026. In July 2020, GOLF.com reported that Fore Play had been feuding with what it called “old man golf media,” the writers who criticized the show, and that it grew after Tiger Woods fist-bumped the Fore Play crew at the 2019 Presidents Cup. Riggs told the site, “If you don’t like our content, that’s fine,” said Barstool is media but not journalists, and said Fore Play’s handling of a quote that ESPN’s Bob Harig used without credit, which led fans to attack Harig, was “a little bit unfair” to him. In October 2025 he played Kirk Minihane in a “haters” match at Granite Links in Quincy, Massachusetts; Golf Digest reported on October 24, 2025 that the two had a beef after Riggs and Robby Berger of Bob Does Sports allegedly kept Minihane out of the Internet Invitational, and that during the round Minihane snapped at Riggs’s caddie, Frankie Borrelli, and confronted fans. In November 2025 Riggs said on the Subpar podcast that he felt bad “to a degree” for Luke Kwon, the opposing player who slept through his tee time, per GOLF.com.

What is Riggs Barstool’s handicap? Is Riggs really a 4?

Riggs says his handicap is a 4, and in a video answering doubters he said, “That’s what the USGA says I am,” per MyGolfSpy. The same piece reported that his USGA index had moved between about 3 and 4, that a fan spreadsheet of his recent YouTube rounds worked out to about 6.3, that he has shot 106 at Oakmont, and that its writer thought 6 to 8 was fair. The doubt is part of the act: his H8ers series pits him against people who criticized him online, and he told GOLF.com in November 2025 that he looks for opponents between about a 2 and a 7 handicap who have “a history of hate.” GOLF.com counted eight H8ers episodes on YouTube by then, each with hundreds of thousands of views.

Where did Riggs Barstool go to college? Did he play hockey? Is he a Thunderbird?

Riggs went to Harvard and played hockey there, per GOLF.com, and Harvard’s men’s ice hockey roster page for Sam Bozoian lists him as a forward. The page lists 16 games over the 2006-07, 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons, with 1 goal and 2 assists, and says he came from Choate Rosemary Hall, where he was an assistant captain as a senior. His one goal was a game-winner in a 5-2 win at Brown on February 5, 2010, per The Harvard Crimson. “I played hockey pretty much my whole life, and golf was sort of something I picked up a little later in life,” he told Scripps News in June 2025. We found no source that says he played for a team called the Thunderbirds or belongs to the Thunderbirds, the group that runs the WM Phoenix Open; Fore Play has covered that tournament, including a recap episode in which Trent and Riggs spent a Saturday in the 16th hole bleachers.

What is Riggs Barstool’s real name? How old is he?

Riggs’s published name is Samuel “Riggs” Bozoian, as printed by GOLF.com in July 2020. Fore Play’s Apple Podcasts page lists him as Sam Riggs Bozoian, Awful Announcing calls him Samuel Riggs, and his Instagram, @riggsbarstool, shows the name Samuel Riggs. His age is not published: we could not find a birth date from him or from Famous Birthdays, so we do not state one and we do not guess.

What happened with Riggs at Pinehurst?

Riggs lived at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina for 99 days in 2020, from March 18 to June 23, per GOLF.com. He had left New York City early in the pandemic, a golf trip with college friends was canceled, and Pinehurst invited him to stay. While there he filmed a nightly putting series, “The Daily Nine,” which caught the attention of fans and Nick Faldo, and when he left, the staff walked him out. He told the story in two parts on Matt Ginella’s Fire Pit podcast; the second part includes Fore Play’s four hosts playing a scramble against Kevin Kisner on Pinehurst No. 2.

Where is Riggs from?

Riggs’s hometown is listed as St. Charles, Missouri on Harvard’s men’s ice hockey roster page for Sam Bozoian, the Harvard hockey player GOLF.com identified as Riggs in April 2021. GOLF.com reported in July 2020 that he grew up a St. Louis Blues fan and calls Tiger Woods his favorite athlete.

Is Barstool Riggs the singer Sam Riggs?

No, this entry is about Riggs of Barstool Sports, Samuel “Riggs” Bozoian, the Fore Play golf host, not the country singer Sam Riggs. If you searched for the Barstool golf personality, the H8ers matches or the host who spent 99 days at Pinehurst, you are in the right place.

Where can I watch Riggs? What is Riggs Barstool’s Twitter?

What is Riggs Barstool’s net worth or salary?

Riggs does not publish a number and neither do we. He has not stated his Barstool salary in anything we could source, and Barstool does not publish it.

Is Riggs from Barstool married? Who is his wife?

Not something we cover.

Who represents Riggs?

As of October 2026, no agent or manager is named publicly for Riggs that we could find; his shows are owned and produced by Barstool Sports. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people search Barstool Riggs by name, his real name and his handicap, and the answers are on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Riggs. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Riggs is the opinionated one at the Fore Play table and the decent golfer with a swing people love to doubt. On video he plays matches with stakes and a story, most clearly in H8ers, where the opponent is a stranger who insulted him online. The podcast runs twice a week and he has called it golf coverage by the common golfer.

Why it travels. Conflict travels. A grudge match with Kirk Minihane drew a gallery to a public course in Quincy, the H8ers episodes pull hundreds of thousands of views each, and an argument about whether he is really a 4 keeps fans tracking his scores. The Pinehurst stay showed the other side: 99 days of nightly putting videos made him a fixture of golf during lockdown.

Brand fit. Golf equipment, golf travel, resorts and amateur events are the clear fit, since he already ran the Barstool Classic and Fore Play sells golf trips. Betting and beer already read on the show. Deals run through Barstool rather than through him, and the show’s loud, combative tone will not suit every brand.
