Questions people ask

Who is Trent Ryan?

Trent Ryan is a Barstool Sports golf personality and one of the hosts of Fore Play, Barstool’s golf podcast, where he is billed as Luggage Guy Trent. In July 2023 the PGA Tour named him one of Fore Play’s “core four” with Sam Riggs, Dan Rapaport and Frankie Borrelli, and described a muni course series built around his quest to break 90. He is the average golfer on a show for average golfers, which is the joke and the appeal. He also appeared on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor as the “Luggage Guy,” the man who removes a contestant’s suitcase after she is eliminated, per Famous Birthdays.

Why did Trent Ryan get arrested? Did Trent Ryan go to jail?

As of October 2026, we found no report in a major news outlet that Trent Ryan was arrested. No national, trade or local news outlet we accept has reported that he was arrested, charged or jailed, and he has not described one on the record. What is public: the pages that come up for “Trent Ryan arrested” are anonymous sites with no named outlet or court record behind them, so we do not repeat them. If an accepted outlet or a court record reports one, this entry will add it.

What is Trent Ryan’s golf handicap? Has he broken 90?

Trent Ryan’s handicap was reported as 17 by Golf.com on March 13, 2025, in a piece that used him as the everyman of the Creator Classic field. The breaking-90 chase is on Barstool’s own feeds: Fore Play’s episode Trent Breaks 100, posted August 3, 2021, called his first round under 100 the most iconic in the show’s history, after years of rounds and lessons with John Tillery. The week before the U.S. Open at Pinehurst in June 2024, the show posted The Breaking 90 King, in which Trent and Frankie Borrelli walked through the series from the days of not breaking 100 to “the round of a lifetime at Raindance.” We could not confirm a current official handicap from a handicap service, so we give only the reported 17.

Is Trent Ryan in PGA Tour 2K23?

Yes, Trent Ryan is a playable golfer in PGA Tour 2K23, added with Fore Play’s Riggs and Frankie Borrelli. 2K’s official Barstool Golf page lists the three as “the Fore Play podcast crew.” The Barstool content was first announced in October 2022 for early 2023, per Worthplaying, and arrived with Season 3 in April 2023, per Bleeding Cool, alongside a Break 90 Ladder Challenge built on his own goal: Operation Sports reported that players who played as Barstool Trent could earn a special hat.

How old is Trent Ryan?

Trent Ryan’s age is not published. Famous Birthdays lists his birthday as March 10 but gives no birth year, and he has not published one that we could find, so we do not state an age and we do not guess.

What happened to Trent Ryan at the Creator Classic?

Trent Ryan finished last at the PGA Tour Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass on March 12, 2025, at 29 over par for eight holes, and the crowd loved it. He earned Barstool’s spot by winning a qualifier among Barstool creators, per the PGA Tour, then made a 10 on the par-5 16th and an 11 on the island-green 17th, where it took him five tries to reach the green. “Usually, you aren’t very happy with an 11, but people were rooting me on, so it was fun,” he said. Golf.com reported that his caddie and coworker Frankie Borrelli started a “Trent” chant and called him a crowd favorite. Grant Horvat won the event.

Who represents Trent Ryan?

If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Trent Ryan. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Trent is the regular golfer in a room of better ones. On Fore Play he is the voice of the high handicapper, and on video the format is simple: a real round, a real score, and a lot of misses, with Frankie Borrelli as the hype man. The stakes are personal goals, break 100, break 90, rather than tournaments.

Why it travels. What travels is the struggle played in public. His 11 on the 17th at TPC Sawgrass was a bad score that turned into a good moment because the gallery adopted him, and the Break 90 chase gave a video game a challenge with his name on it. People who play to a 17 see themselves in him.

Brand fit. Golf brands aimed at everyday players are the clear fit: game improvement clubs, balls, simulators, lessons, apparel and golf travel, which Fore Play already sells. Deals run through Barstool rather than through him, and the show’s crude, loose tone will not suit every brand.
