Questions people ask
Who is Erik Anders Lang?
Erik Anders Lang is a filmmaker and golf host. He started in photography in New York, then moved to Los Angeles to make documentaries, music videos and commercials, per InsideHook in November 2022. His brother got him into golf as an adult, and while he was making a golf documentary the PGA Tour asked him to host a show with Skratch; he pitched traveling the world to play with unusual people in unusual places, per GolfWRX in April 2017. That became Adventures in Golf. He is also the co-founder and CEO of Random Golf Club, per his podcast’s own description.
What happened to Erik Anders Lang? Is Adventures in Golf still going?
Erik Anders Lang’s podcast and Adventures in Golf both wound down in late 2025, and as of October 2026 he has not said what comes next in anything we could source. His weekly podcast, The Erik Anders Lang Show, posted episode 342 on October 23, 2025 under the title “Goodbye (for now),” and as of October 2026 its feed has added nothing since. Adventures in Golf opened Season 9 in Ukraine in autumn 2025, per Skratch on October 2, 2025, and the season finale, an episode about golfers in New York City, went up on November 25, 2025, per Skratch. We found no Season 10 episode as of October 2026. The “for now” in the title is the only hint on the record, so we do not guess.
Why did Erik Anders Lang move back to California? Does he still live in Austin?
As of October 2026, we could not find Erik Anders Lang or the press saying he moved back to California. What is public: he lived in Los Angeles, and on August 31, 2020 he released a podcast episode titled “Why I Am Moving To Austin Texas,” about leaving Los Angeles and taking Random Golf Club with him, per his Substack. InsideHook described Random Golf Club as Austin-based in November 2022, and Golf Business News still called him Austin-based in January 2024. If he has moved since, he has not said so in anything we could source.
Was Erik Anders Lang married to Sia? Why did they divorce?
Yes, Erik Anders Lang married the singer Sia in August 2014, and on December 7, 2016 they announced through a spokesperson that they had decided to separate and would stay friends, per the AP. Sia filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court later that month, citing irreconcilable differences, per the AP via Gulf News. That legal phrase is the only reason on the record; neither of them has explained it further in anything we could source.
What is Erik Anders Lang’s handicap?
Erik Anders Lang’s handicap index was 6 in a January 2019 FORE Magazine Q&A from the Southern California Golf Association. In June 2023 Arccos, the shot-tracking brand he is an ambassador for, called him a single-digit handicapper when he shot 89 from the back tees at Los Angeles Country Club for a Random Golf Club film. We found no newer figure.
What movies and shows has Erik Anders Lang made?
Erik Anders Lang’s best-known work is Adventures in Golf on Skratch, nine seasons of golf travel through places like Mumbai’s street “slum golf,” Australia’s Nullarbor Links and Scotland’s Askernish, per GOLF.com in April 2019. Our read
Ames Create does not work with Erik Anders Lang. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. A host who is a good golfer but not a great one goes somewhere golf should not exist, plays with whoever is there and lets them tell the story. Adventures in Golf is closer to a travel documentary than a golf show, and the podcast did the same thing in audio: why people play, not how to swing, with “NO SWING TIPS HERE” written into its own description.
Why it travels. The places do the work: a street game in Mumbai, a course in a country at war, a hole hundreds of miles from the next one. Each episode is a self-contained story that a non-golfer can follow, and Skratch’s YouTube channel carries it. Random Golf Club turned the same idea into events, like the Mad Scramble tour, that produce their own films.
Brand fit. Travel, airlines, golf gear and apparel are the natural lane, and the record shows it: United presented Adventures in Golf episodes, Booking.com presented his podcast, and Random Golf Club partnered with ECCO Golf in January 2024, per [Golf Business News](https://golfbusinessnews.com/news/sponsorship-and-events/ecco-golf-partners-with-random-golf-club/). The open question is timing: with the podcast signed off and no new season announced as of October 2026, a brand should wait to hear what he makes next.
