He is the group’s best golfer, a former Division III player the channel builds matches around, and he has played the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic twice. Questions people ask

Who is Fat Perez?

Fat Perez is Nick Stubbe, a golfer from Richmond, Virginia who appears on Bob Does Sports with Robby Berger (Bobby Fairways) and Joey Cold Cuts. He played two years of Division III golf at Hampden-Sydney College, finished an accounting degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and worked in commercial real estate accounting until July 2022, per MyGolfSpy. On the channel he is the ringer: Golf Digest calls him “their top player,” and the videos are built around whether the others, or guests like Garrett Clark and the Bryan Bros, can beat him. He is not a Barstool Sports personality. Bob Does Sports is its own channel, and it co-produces the Internet Invitational with Barstool.

What happened to Fat Perez?

Nothing has ended. He is still on Bob Does Sports: the channel posted an 18-hole match between him and Grant Horvat in late summer 2026 and a three-on-three with Horvat and the Bryan Bros at the end of September 2026. What changed is how he lives and works. He left accounting in July 2022 to do the channel full time, and Golf.com reported in August 2026 that he had moved from Richmond to Palm Beach, Florida just over two years earlier, that he is on the road filming two weeks a month, and that the company is building a Florida warehouse it calls Bob HQ. His own line on it: “I was not an unhappy person looking for my way out. It all just sort of happened.”

What happened to Fat Perez’s golf game? What is his handicap?

His handicap was plus-1.6 when MyGolfSpy profiled him in November 2024, and Golf.com has described him as playing to scratch. Against pros and the best creators, the scores have been higher. At The Q at Myrtle Beach, a qualifier for a PGA Tour start, he shot 81 and finished 14th of 16 in April 2024, per the PGA Tour, and in May 2025 he finished last, with AmateurGolf.com writing that he “did not have his stuff.” He was 5 over through eight holes at the first Creator Classic in August 2024 and 4 over at the second in March 2025, where he made the only birdie on the 17th at TPC Sawgrass in regulation. In March 2026 MyGolfSpy’s handicap tracker logged an even-par round against NBA player D’Angelo Russell. We have not found him saying on the record that anything is wrong with his game.

Why was Fat Perez arrested?

We could not find a report of an arrest in major, trade or local press, or any statement from him about one. Without a source there is no date, charge or outcome to give, and we do not guess. If a sourced report appears, this answer will change.

Why does Fat Perez always wear sunglasses?

He has not said why, as far as we can find. The long profiles of him in Golf.com, MyGolfSpy and The Richmonder do not bring it up, and we do not guess at reasons.

Is there Fat Perez drama or a controversy?

None that major or trade press has reported about him. The words show up in searches partly because Bob Does Sports uses them in its own titles: the channel has golf matches labeled a meltdown, a fight and, in 2026, “Things Got HEATED During This Hater Match (CONTROVERSY).” The reported controversies near him came from the Internet Invitational, the 48-player, $1 million event Bob Does Sports produced with Barstool Sports at Big Cedar Lodge in August 2025: a missed tee time by Luke Kwon (Golf Digest) and two rules disputes in the final involving other players (MyGolfSpy). He played in the event and was not accused of anything. He appears in that coverage only as the person Peter Finch was talking to when Finch described the lie in question, per National Club Golfer.

What is Fat Perez’s real name?

Nick Stubbe. Golf.com, MyGolfSpy, the PGA Tour and The Hollywood Reporter have all printed it, and he told Golf.com in August 2026, “Only my mom still calls me Nick.” The nickname came from a match at Hermitage Country Club near Richmond: a friend said his swing and long hair made him look like Tour pro Pat Perez, and the opponent he was beating muttered, “More like Fat Perez.” He used it as his screen name on the Bob Does Sports Zoom happy hours and it stuck. Perez is not his surname. Some searches attach the name “Leland” to him; we have not seen it in any source we would cite.

How old is Fat Perez? How tall is he?

He has not published a birthdate. MyGolfSpy described him as 35 in November 2024. Famous Birthdays lists October 1, 1978, which would make him 48. The two do not match, so we do not print an age. He has not published a height either.

Where can I watch Fat Perez?

The main videos are on YouTube at @Bobdoessports, and the crew also runs the Bob Does Sports Podcast. His own accounts are Instagram @thefatperez and TikTok @thefatperez. He turns up on other channels too: a match on Garrett Clark’s GM Golf, LIV Golf’s The Duels on Grant Horvat’s channel in April 2025, where Golf Monthly had him paired with Cameron Smith, and the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic, where the first field in August 2024 also included Micah Morris.

What is Fat Perez’s net worth?

He does not publish a number and neither do we.

Who is Fat Perez’s wife? What about his marriage, weight and health?

Not something we cover.

Who represents Fat Perez?

The Hollywood Reporter reported in May 2023 that he signed with UTA in all areas, alongside Robby Berger and Joey Cold Cuts. His own site, fatperez.com, is a merch store with a contact form. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because he is the clearest case in golf YouTube of a viewer becoming part of the cast. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Fat Perez. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Bob Does Sports is three friends on a golf course with a dare attached: a score to shoot, a guest to beat, an amount of food to finish. Fat Perez is what makes the dare fair. He is the one real golfer in the group, so every match has a favorite, and the format runs on watching everyone else try to take him down.

Why it travels. He came out of the audience. He was a viewer on the channel’s Zoom happy hours before he was in a video, and that story is easy to retell and easy to root for. The clip that spread needed no setup: a 50-foot birdie putt on the 17th at TPC Sawgrass and a euro-step, at a PGA Tour event. He told Golf Channel in February 2026 he has watched it more than 100 times.

Brand fit. Golf equipment, apparel, beer and spirits, and food brands that want to be the challenge. The partners on record fit that: a Callaway bag in 2024, Takomo irons from 2026, Hari Mari flip flops, and the crew’s own Breezy Golf and Have a Day. He comes with a crew whose videos include drinking on the course, so a brand that needs a family tone should plan for a single integration rather than the full format.
