Questions people ask

Who is Jake Marsh?

Jake Marsh is a play-by-play broadcaster who was a regular on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take for five years. Barstool hired him as an intern to mock Darren Rovell, per Awful Announcing, and by 2020 WAER, Syracuse’s student station where he got his start, was describing him as the show’s sports business reporter and the voice of University of Vermont men’s basketball. At Barstool he also called the company’s bowl game and college basketball events. He left in June 2024 to pursue play-by-play full time.

What happened to Jake Marsh on Pardon My Take? Why did he leave PMT and Barstool?

He left on his own announcement. On the June 19, 2024 episode he told listeners it would be his last, and said his goal since his internship interview had been to become a national network play-by-play broadcaster. He said broadcasting was his main work at the company and that “live broadcasting rights are no longer a priority for this company,” per Barrett Media. Awful Announcing noted the Arizona Bowl he had called was no longer Barstool-branded. Big Cat and PFT Commenter said the move had been discussed for four or five months, and he posted, “The best five years of my life. Thank you for everything, @PardonMyTake.”

Is Jake Marsh still at Barstool? Does he still work there?

No. His last Pardon My Take episode was June 19, 2024, and every outlet that covered the exit, including Barrett Media and Awful Announcing, described it as leaving the company, not just the show. As of October 2026 his podcast is independent, hosted on Buzzsprout rather than on a Barstool feed.

What is Jake Marsh doing now? Where is he now?

Calling games and hosting a podcast. A day after leaving Barstool, the Premier Lacrosse League named him a sideline reporter for five games on ESPN+ and its All-Star Game on ESPN (Awful Announcing, June 2024), and in August 2024 the PGA Tour put him in the booth with Mark Immelman for its Creator Classic (Awful Announcing). In 2026, his own podcast feed says he called The Basketball Tournament on FOX Sports in July, the World Flag Series on YouTube in July and September, and a high school football game in August. On The Call with Jake Marsh posts every Tuesday; the newest episode, with Ian Eagle, came out October 6, 2026.

What did Jake Marsh do at Barstool?

Two jobs. On Pardon My Take he was the sports business reporter, a running bit that began with Barstool hiring him to mock Darren Rovell. On the broadcasting side he called the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, Barstool’s College Basketball Invitational, other college basketball and hockey, and PGA Tour Live, per Awful Announcing and his Miami Sport Industry Conference bio, which credits him with the last two Barstool Arizona Bowls.

Why is Jake Marsh called Mr. Positions?

We could not find him or the show explaining the nickname in anything we could source, so we will not guess at it. If he or the show explains it on the record, this answer will change.

Is Jake Marsh the same person as Jake Marshall?

No. This entry is about Jake Marsh, the broadcaster and former Pardon My Take regular. Jake Marshall is a different name, shared by other people and by a character in the Ace Attorney video games; those searches are not about him.

How old is Jake Marsh? What is his real name?

He has not published a birthdate, so we do not list an age. Jake Marsh is the name he uses everywhere and the name Barrett Media and Awful Announcing print; no other name has been published.

Where can I watch Jake Marsh?

His podcast, On The Call with Jake Marsh, posts weekly, with guests including Adam Schefter, J.J. Watt, Jon Gruden, his Syracuse classmate Noah Eagle and former Pardon My Take castmate Billy Football, who came on in August 2026 to talk about their PMT years. He is on Instagram, TikTok and X as @jakemarsh18. His Pardon My Take years, through June 2024, are in that show’s back catalog, and his game calls air wherever he is assigned, most recently FOX Sports and the World Flag Series on YouTube.

What is Jake Marsh’s net worth?

He does not publish a number and neither do we.

What about Jake Marsh’s family or personal life?

Not something we cover.

Who represents Jake Marsh?

His podcast notes route business and advertising inquiries to a management email address; no agency is named on his channels or in trade press that we found. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people still ask what happened to him after Pardon My Take, and the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Jake Marsh. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. On The Call is a broadcaster interviewing broadcasters: how they got the job, how they prep, the stories behind their calls, then two recurring segments, That’s Wild of the Week and Tip of the Cap. It works because the guests are talking shop with a peer who is trying to climb the same ladder, which gets them past the usual press answers.

Why it travels. Most of his reach was built inside Pardon My Take, one of the biggest sports podcasts, where he was a recurring character for five years. Now it travels on guest names, from Adam Schefter to Ian Eagle, and on reunions with the PMT cast, which bring that audience back to check in on him.

Brand fit. Sports brands that want a clean, knowledgeable voice: apparel, golf, ticketing, sports media and streaming. His podcast already carries a Rhoback discount read, and nothing controversial is on the record. The honest limit is size: about 58,000 Instagram followers and a podcast that launched in June 2026, so this is a niche, trusted audience rather than a mass one.
