What should I fix on my profile?

Make it say what your best posts are about. A stranger who lands on your profile from a hit decides in seconds whether there is more of it. Your name line, your bio, your link, a way to reach you and your pinned posts should all point the same way. The audit above checks each one and writes the lines.

A profile audit built from your own best posts

What a stranger sees before they follow, checked, and the lines to fix it. This is what comes back when you type a handle.

  • 01

    What to fix first

Your name line, bio, link, contact, pins and posting, each marked fix, note or good. No score.

  • 02

    Bio lines from your hits

Three bio lines that say what your best posts are about, sized to fit the bio box.

  • 03

A name line that says what you make

Your name and what the account is, for the boldest line on the page.

  • 04

    What to pin

What is pinned now, against the recent post that beat your normal by the most.

How it works

Built by our team

What makes it worth using

  • Built from your hits

The bio lines say what your best posts are about, not what a template says a bio should be.

  • No score

Each check is a fix, a note or good, in plain words. You know what to do next.

  • Free, with no account

No sign-up, no email wall and no login to your socials.

  • Honest about what it can see

Public words and numbers. Not your photo, your analytics or your account status.

Instagram and TikTok profile checklist

The six things a profile audit should look at. You can run it by hand.

  1. Your name line. The bold line above your bio. If it repeats your handle, it is the most visible spot on the page saying nothing new. Put your name and what you make.

  2. Your bio says what you post. Not who you are in general: what someone gets if they follow. The best test is your own hits. If your three biggest posts are rankings, the bio should say rankings.

  3. One link that goes somewhere useful. Your best video, a link page, or a list people can join. A visitor who liked you needs a next step.

  4. A way for brands to reach you. An email in your bio or your contact options. Brands that want to pay you look for one before they DM.

  5. The right posts pinned. The first posts a stranger sees should be your strongest, not your oldest favorite. Pin what beat your normal.

  6. A professional account, on Instagram. Instagram requires one for Gifts and Subscriptions. Switching to a creator account is free.

Why the bio lines come from your hits

Most people who find a profile arrive from one post. If that post was a ranking and the bio says “cooking, eating, living”, the visitor cannot tell whether there is more of what they came for. So the audit reads your recent posts, finds the ones that beat your normal, and writes bio lines about those.

To see why one particular video beat or missed, the Video Analyzer reads it against your normal.

What this audit does not check

  • Fake followers. It does not score followers or look for bots. Tools that do are built for brands vetting a creator.
  • Your photo and your grid. It reads words and numbers, not images.
  • Account status. It cannot tell you about restrictions or a shadowban. It only sees what a visitor sees.
  • Your analytics. Who your audience is and where they come from live behind your login. We never ask for it.

Questions people ask

What should I put in my Instagram bio?

What someone gets if they follow you, in your own words, built from what your best posts are actually about. Then anything a visitor needs to act: a city if it matters, a schedule if you keep one, and a business email. The Profile Audit writes three bio lines from your own hits.

How do I optimize my TikTok profile?

Make the name line say what you make, keep one link that goes somewhere useful, add a business email, and pin your strongest recent videos. Then make the bio match what your hits are about. Pick TikTok above, type your handle, and the audit checks each one.

What does a profile audit check?

What a stranger sees before they follow: your name line, your bio, your link, a way to reach you, what is pinned and how often you post. On Instagram it also checks for a professional account. Each one comes back as a fix, a note or good, with no score.

How do I audit my Instagram profile?

Look at it the way a new visitor does: does the name line and the bio tell you what this account posts, is there a link and an email, and are the pinned posts the strongest ones? Then compare the bio with what your best Reels are about. Type your handle above and the audit does it from your public profile.

What should my name line say?

Your name and what the account is, in a few words, for example “Marco | Cheap Food Rankings”. It is the boldest text on your profile, so it should not just repeat your handle.

What should my link in bio go to?

One place that gives a visitor who liked you a next step: your best video, a link page with a few choices, or a list people can join. A dead link or a page with twenty buttons does less.

What should I pin on my profile?

Your strongest recent posts, measured against your own normal, so the first thing a stranger sees is the kind of post that made them curious. The audit checks what is pinned now against your hits.

Do hashtags in my bio do anything?

We leave them out of the lines we write. A bio has little room, and a hashtag spends it on a word that does not tell a visitor what you make.

Does a fancy font in my bio hurt me?

Many fancy fonts are special symbols rather than letters, so screen readers and search may not read them as words. Plain text is the safe choice for the words that say what you do.

Do I need a professional account on Instagram?

To earn from Gifts and Subscriptions, yes: Instagram requires a professional account for both (Instagram Help Center). Gifts also need 500 followers and Subscriptions 10,000. Switching is free in your settings.

Does it work on private accounts?

No. It reads what is public on your profile, the same as any visitor. A private account shows a visitor almost nothing, which is worth knowing too.

Does it check fake followers or shadowbans?

No. Fake follower checkers are built for brands vetting creators, and no outside tool can see your account status. This one reads what a visitor sees and tells you what to fix.

Do I need to log in?

No. Type your handle. There is nothing to connect and we never ask for a password.

How often should I audit my profile?

When what you post changes, and after a run of new hits. The bio lines come from your best recent posts, so they move with them. To see what those hits have in common, the Page Audit reads your whole page.
