Ideas you could film this week
Not a list of topics. Each idea comes with its first line, what to shoot and the reason it has a chance.
01
6 ideas for your subject
Written for what your page is about, in different shapes, so you are not handed one idea six times.
02
The first line, written
What you say or show in the first two seconds. Copy it, then say it your own way.
03
What to film, and why
What is in frame and how it ends, in a sentence or two. Then one plain reason it could hold someone.
04
One to turn into a series
The idea worth repeating, and how to repeat it. A series is next week’s idea, already decided.
How it works
Say what your page is about
A few words, the way you would tell a friend. Pick where you post.
Add anything to work around
Just starting, not showing your face, or a phone and no budget. Every idea respects it.
You get 6 ideas
Each with its first line, what to film and why. Plus the one to make a series.
Built by our team
What makes it worth using
It writes the first line
An idea is easy. The first two seconds are the hard part, so that is what you get, word for word.
Made for one person and a phone
Nothing here needs a crew, a budget or an audience, unless you tell us you have one.
No promises
It never says an idea will go viral. It says why the idea has a chance, and leaves the judging to you.
Free, and not stored
No sign-up and no email wall. What you type is read once to write your ideas and is not kept.
What should I post? Eight kinds of video that give people a reason to stay
When our team looks at why a video held people, it usually comes down to what the first two seconds promised. These are the shapes we see most, and the generator draws on all of them.
A ranking
A full set, ranked, with the best held to the end. The list is not finished until the last one, so there is a reason to stay.
“Ranking every $1 frozen meal at my grocery store, worst to best.”
Something on the line
A limit you might not beat: a budget, a deadline, a rule. The first second sets it and the viewer wants to know if you made it.
“I have $4 and I am not ordering takeout tonight.”
An open question
It names something people have wondered about and holds the answer back for a few seconds. Not a trick: the answer has to be worth it.
“Rice goes mushy because of one thing nobody tells you.”
A test
Two things compared, or one thing tried so the viewer does not have to. A test has a result built in.
“Does the $2 pasta sauce beat the $9 one? Blind test.”
A shared moment
A moment the viewer has lived, shown plainly. People like to answer it with their own version.
“This is the dinner I make when I have given up.”
A fix
It opens on a problem the viewer has and fixes it fast. The fix comes early, not after a long wind-up.
“Stop throwing away the last third of the bag of spinach.”
A claim to prove
A claim in the first line and proof in the video. The claim has to be one you can back up on camera.
A series
A format built to repeat, with the same opening or the same limit each time. It gives people a reason to follow and gives you next week’s idea.
“$4 dinner, every Tuesday”
The example lines are from a made-up page about “cheap dinners for one”. Open the full example at the top of this page to see all 6, with what to film for each.
Content ideas for beginners
With no audience yet, a video has to make sense to a stranger. That rules some ideas out and makes others better.
Skip anything that needs people to know you. A day in your life, an update, a question for your followers: these work once someone cares who you are. At the start, nobody does yet, and that is fine.
Make the video about the thing, not about you. A ranking, a test or a fix is interesting whoever made it. The viewer gets something in the first few seconds, and you get a chance to be seen again.
Pick one shape and repeat it. Ten videos in one format tell you more than ten different experiments, because you can see what changed. That is why the generator ends with one idea to make a series.
Choose “Just starting” on the tool and every idea is written to work at zero followers.
Content ideas without showing your face
Plenty of pages never show a face. The idea just has to give the camera something else to look at.
Hands and a table. A lineup of things to rank, a before and after, a fix done close up. The example on this page does it with frozen meals and a pot of rice.
A screen. A walkthrough, a comparison, a mistake and the correction. The first line goes on screen as text, so it works with the sound off.
Your voice over something moving. You talk, the camera shows the work. It is an easy format to make often, because you can record the voice afterwards.
Choose “Not showing my face” on the tool and no idea will ask you to be on camera.
TikTok ideas, Reels ideas and YouTube video ideas
The same subject becomes a different video depending on where it goes. Pick the platform and the ideas change with it.
TikTok and Instagram Reels. Vertical, under a minute, and a first line that works with the sound off. The ideas are written to be filmed in one sitting.
YouTube. The first line is written as a title someone would click, and the idea is sized for a video of a few minutes or more, where the promise in the title has to be kept by the end.
After you post. Ideas are guesses until you see what your own page does with them. The Page Audit shows which posts beat your normal and what they have in common. The Engagement Calculator shows how the people who saw them responded.
Questions people ask
What should I post?
Start with one subject you can keep making videos about, and one first line a stranger would stop for. Type what your page is about and the generator gives you 6 ideas, each with that first line written, what to film and why it has a chance. Pick one and post it this week.
What should I post on TikTok to get views?
Nobody can promise views, and we do not. What you can control is the first two seconds: say or show something specific that makes a stranger want the end of the video. Rankings, tests and a clear limit do that well. The generator writes first lines of that kind for your subject.
What should I post on Instagram for the first time?
Something that does not need an audience yet. A first Reel works when a stranger can understand it with no context: a test with a result, a ranking, a fix for a problem people have. Choose “Just starting” and every idea is written to work at zero followers.
Can I get content ideas without showing my face?
Yes. Choose “Not showing my face” and every idea is built around hands, a screen, your voice or objects. A ranking laid out on a table, a close-up of a fix, a test with two things in frame: none of them needs you on camera.
What are good YouTube video ideas for beginners?
Ones where the title makes a promise the video can keep. Choose YouTube and the first line is written as a title someone would click, with a video of a few minutes in mind. A test, a challenge with a limit, or a full ranking gives a new channel a clear reason to be watched.
Is this an AI content idea generator?
Yes. The ideas are written by an AI model following instructions from our team: one first line, what to film and one plain reason, with no hype and no promise that anything will go viral. Treat them as a start and say them your own way.
What do you do with what I type?
It is sent to our AI provider once, to write your ideas. We do not store it and it never reaches our analytics. Our privacy page has the detail.
Will these ideas go viral?
We cannot know, and neither can any tool. Each idea comes with the reason it has a chance, so you can judge it yourself. The way to find out what works on your page is to post, then look at which posts beat your normal.
Can I use it for a business or a brand page?
Yes. Describe the page the way you would to a friend, like “a plant shop in Ohio” or “budget travel for students”. The ideas are written for one person with a phone, which suits most small businesses too.
Is the Idea Generator free? How many times can I run it?
It is free, with no account. Each person gets 5 runs a day, which keeps it free for everyone. After a few posts, the Page Audit shows which ones worked and builds your next first lines from those.
