What you get back

Example

3 hours a week, about an hour a video

Post

2x a week

on TikTok

First month

8 posts

with 36 min a week kept spare

A fifth of the time kept spare leaves 2 hr 24 min: room for 2 videos a week on TikTok.

A schedule you can keep

Not a number from a chart. How often your own week allows, laid out for a month, in your calendar.

Built by our team

What makes it worth using

  • No made up number

No platform publishes how often to post, and we do not invent one. The number comes from your week.

  • Built to be kept

20% of your time stays spare, and one post a day is the most it plans.

  • The way our team plans

Film the week in one session, run a series, test one change at a time, then do more of what worked.

  • Free, and private

No account, no email, no limit. It runs in your browser and nothing you pick is sent to us.

How often should you post on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube?

The honest answer, and what to do with it.

No platform gives a number. We looked for one that TikTok, Instagram or YouTube tells creators to hit and did not find it. The numbers in most articles, like once a day or three to five a week, are someone’s rule of thumb or their own sample, not a platform rule.

What the platforms do say is: keep it up. YouTube’s help page puts it plainly: a consistent, sustainable release schedule is critical, and it asks whether your upload frequency is sustainable over the long term. Upload schedule tips, YouTube Help.

So start from your week, not from a chart. The hours you really have, how long one video takes you, and the days you are free. That gives you a number you can hold for months, which is when a schedule starts to show what works.

How to make a posting schedule you can keep

The same four habits our team builds into every month we plan.

Film the week in one session. Setting up is the slow part. Shoot every video for the week at once and posting days are just posting.

Give the week a series. The same format on the same day every week gives people a reason to come back, and gives you next week’s idea before you need it.

Change one thing at a time. One post a week tries a new hook. If everything changes at once you cannot tell what worked. The Hook Checker shows how each kind of opening did in our study.

Keep a review day. At the end of the week, find the post that beat your normal and make another one like it. The Page Audit finds those posts for you.

A posting schedule for beginners

Start lower than you think, and hold it.

Pick the number you could keep in a bad week. Two posts a week for three months will teach you more than daily posts for two weeks.

Give each video a job. The schedule labels every post: the series, a new hook, more of what worked. A post with a job is easier to make and easier to judge.

Fill it before the week starts. The Idea Generator writes ideas for your subject with the first line done, so the shoot day has a list.

Questions people ask

How often should I post?

As often as you can keep up for months, not weeks. We looked for a number TikTok, Instagram or YouTube tells creators to hit and did not find one. YouTube’s own help page says a consistent, sustainable release schedule is critical. The generator turns the time you really have into a schedule you can keep.

How often should I post on TikTok?

There is no official number. A steady schedule you keep beats a burst of daily posts that stops after two weeks. Tell the generator the hours you have and how long a video takes you, and it works out how many a week that is.

How often should I post Reels on Instagram?

Instagram does not publish a target either. Pick the days you can post every week, keep one session a week to film them all, and hold the schedule for a month before you judge it.

How often should I post YouTube Shorts?

YouTube’s advice is about consistency, not a count: its help page asks whether your upload frequency is sustainable over the long term. Upload schedule tips, YouTube Help.

Is posting every day better?

Only if you can keep it up and the videos stay good. More posts give people more chances to find you, but a daily plan you drop in week three teaches you less than three posts a week you keep for three months.

What if I miss a day?

Post the spare one. The schedule keeps 20% of your time free so one bad week does not break it, and when your time allows more videos than posting days, it tells you to film one extra and keep it.

What is the best time to post?

We do not have data on hours of the day, so we do not claim one. Your own numbers will tell you more than any general chart: post at the same time for a few weeks, then compare.

What do you do with what I pick?

Nothing. The schedule is worked out in your browser and the calendar file is made there too. Nothing you choose is sent to us.

Is the Posting Schedule free?

Yes, with no account and no limit. It runs in your browser, so it costs nothing to use as often as you like.
