In September 2026 he posted his first YouTube video in over two years, titled “Why I left FaZe Clan...”. He streams on Twitch, where he has about 1.6 million followers.

Questions people ask

Who is Adapt?

Adapt is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer who was part of FaZe Clan for about 14 years, by his own count. His YouTube channel, still named FaZe Adapt, dates to December 2011 and has about 5.9 million subscribers and 1.29 billion views, mostly from FaZe-era challenge videos, 1v1s and house content. Today he streams on Twitch, where he has about 1.6 million followers, and he is a founding member of the creator group CORE.

Did Adapt leave FaZe? Why did he leave FaZe Clan?

Yes. He announced on X that he was leaving FaZe Clan after 14 years; Dexerto dates his post to December 26, 2025, part of the wave of exits that began on Christmas Day. “Over half of my life, I’d be lying if I said this didn’t hurt, but it had to be done,” he wrote, as quoted by TechCrunch. His post did not give a reason. Bloomberg reported that FaZe’s whole listed roster left after contract talks with new management failed, and The Esports Advocate reported that investor Matt Kalish had offered the creators a choice between signing with his agency, HardScope, or going independent. On September 3, 2026, Adapt posted a 15-minute video on his own channel titled “Why I left FaZe Clan...”, which has about 1.6 million views.

Did Adapt leave CORE? Is he still in CORE?

Not that he or CORE has announced. As of October 13, 2026, we found no statement from him and no press report that he has left. What is public: CORE’s YouTube channel lists him first among the six members, with his own links, in the description of CORE Horror Hide and Seek, posted October 11, 2026, and the group has kept posting a new video about once a week. If he says otherwise on the record, this entry will say so, with the date.

What happened to Adapt?

In order: he started his YouTube channel on December 13, 2011 and spent about 14 years in FaZe Clan; he left FaZe in December 2025; his Twitch stream hit its all-time peak of about 96,700 viewers at once on December 27, 2025, per Streams Charts; on April 30, 2026 he launched CORE with five other former FaZe streamers; and in September 2026 he went back to YouTube with “Why I left FaZe Clan...”, followed by a MrBeast vs YouTube Legends series of Call of Duty videos that he says he filmed a while back. He is still streaming on Twitch.

What is CORE?

The creator group Adapt co-founded after FaZe. CORE, short for Create Own Run Everything, was unveiled on April 30, 2026 in a livestream hosted by former FaZe CEO Banks, Complex reported. The six members are Adapt, Silky, Stable Ronaldo, Lacy, JasonTheWeen and Marlon. Tubefilter reported the group films out of a $20 million house and is aiming for the old-school vlog content of FaZe’s early channels. The CORE channel has about 1.3 million subscribers, and its group videos run from about 1 million to 6 million views each.

What is Adapt’s real name?

Alex is the first name he publishes: his YouTube About page opens with “My name is Alex.” He has not published a surname and major press has not printed one, so we leave it out. He went by FaZe Adapt for his years in FaZe and still uses that name on YouTube, Instagram and X.

How old is Adapt? What is his real age?

He is 29. Famous Birthdays lists his birthday as June 5, 1997, and his own YouTube About page says he is 29, which matches.

Is this the same Adapt as ADAPT, the advocacy group?

No. This entry is about the YouTuber and Twitch streamer, formerly FaZe Adapt. ADAPT is an unrelated American advocacy organization, and the word also names albums and a book.

Where can I watch Adapt?

Live on Twitch adapt. His own videos are on YouTube @adapt, and the weekly group videos are on CORE’s YouTube channel. He is also on Instagram @thefazeadapt and X @FaZeAdapt.

What about Adapt’s family or personal life?

Not something we cover.

What is Adapt’s net worth?

He does not publish a number and neither do we.

Who represents Adapt?

We could not find a named agency or manager on his channels or in trade press, and his YouTube About page does not list a business contact. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking why he left FaZe after 14 years and where he went next, and most of the answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Adapt. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Adapt’s format grew up with YouTube: challenge videos, 1v1s, pranks and house tours with the rest of FaZe, and now long Twitch streams that lean on IRL and Just Chatting. The appeal is familiarity. Viewers who grew up on FaZe know him, and CORE brings back the house-and-crew format that made those early channels work.

Why it travels. It travels through the group. The weekly CORE video puts him in front of all six members’ audiences, and his own return video passed 1.6 million views in about a month. The departure story travels too: his post about leaving FaZe after 14 years was quoted by Bloomberg and TechCrunch.

Brand fit. Gaming, energy drinks, fast food and apparel, most naturally through CORE, where a brand gets six streamers in one video. His own YouTube channel is restarting after a two-year gap, so a brand working with him directly should expect a creator rebuilding his rhythm rather than a fixed upload schedule.
