Our read

Ames Create does not work with Mr Short Game. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. A coach talking straight to the camera: one problem, a few simple fixes, and a drill you can take to the range. Gear tests and course vlogs fill the gaps, with titles built on numbers and mistakes, like 10 reasons your driver is off or what 90 percent of golfers get wrong. The podcast is the other half, his take on creator golf and the pro game.

Why it travels. Instruction lasts. His biggest videos are years old chipping and driver lessons that still get found by people searching for a fix, which is why a channel of about 539,000 subscribers sits on about 120 million views. The podcast rides the news instead: Bob Does Sports, Good Good and the Internet Invitational pull bigger, faster numbers than most of his lessons.

Brand fit. Golf equipment, training aids, launch monitors and golf travel, which is already what his descriptions carry, from PlayBetter and SkyTrak to Eleven Golf and Spanish clubs in October 2026. His audience is amateurs trying to score better, so products that promise a lower score fit; anything outside golf would be a stretch.
