Questions people ask
Who is Sam Sulek?
Sam Sulek is a bodybuilder and YouTuber from Delaware, Ohio. He was a competitive diver at Delaware Hayes High School and then at Miami University, per Fitness Volt’s profile, before his lifting vlogs took off. He won the Classic Physique overall at the 2025 Arnold Amateur on February 27, 2025, which made him an IFBB pro, per Fitness Volt. He posts a new training video almost every day on YouTube, where he has about 4.6 million subscribers.
Why did Sam Sulek leave Hosstile? Who sponsors him now?
He has not given a detailed reason on the record that we could source. What is public: he announced in a short message on his YouTube channel in June 2024 that he was not renewing his contract with Hosstile Supplements, which had signed him about a year earlier, per Stack3d and Evolution of Bodybuilding on June 22, 2024. In that message he thanked the brand for what it did for him, including trips abroad, the Arnold Classic and Gold’s Gym Venice, per IronMag. No outlet we trust reported what the deal paid. On July 22, 2025 he announced he had joined Gymshark, in a clip with Chris Bumstead and David Laid, per Men’s Fitness. As of October 2026 his videos carry a Gymshark code and a RAW Nutrition code, and his October 19, 2026 video Gymshark x Sam Sulek announces a Gymshark release for October 22, 2026.
What happened to Sam Sulek? Did he fall off?
Not by the numbers we can see. In February 2025, Forbes reported nearly 4 million YouTube subscribers and more than 252 million channel views. On October 21, 2026, Social Blade showed about 4.56 million subscribers and about 374 million views, so more than 120 million views were added in about 20 months, though the subscriber count sat flat at 4.56 million through the first three weeks of October. He still uploads almost daily: his series The Bulk Rebirth reached Day 47 on October 20, 2026, and its recent episodes had between about 86,000 and 208,000 views each within days of posting, per his channel. What changed in 2026 is that he went from amateur wins to his first pro results, covered below.
Has Sam Sulek competed? What is his bodybuilding record?
Yes, four shows, all in Classic Physique. He won the 2025 NPC Legends Classic on February 15, 2025 in his first time on stage, per Forbes, then won the overall at the 2025 Arnold Amateur on February 27, 2025 to earn his IFBB pro card, per Fitness Volt. In his pro debut he placed eighth at the 2026 Arnold Classic in Columbus on March 6, 2026, a show Wesley Vissers won, per Fitness Volt, and seventh at the Arnold Classic UK in Birmingham on March 27, 2026, won by Mike Sommerfeld, per Generation Iron. He coached himself for those shows and said in January 2026, “I want to do my thing and just see what happens,” per Fitness Volt. After the UK show he said he planned to add size slowly, per Fitness Volt. As of October 2026 we found no next contest announced in trade press.
Why is Sam Sulek so popular? Why did he start lifting?
He has not explained in anything we could source why he first started lifting. What is public: he wanted to be a professional diver before bodybuilding, per Generation Iron, and the channel grew from daily videos of him training and eating. By November 2023, Chris Bumstead was saying Sulek was “taking over the world” and could “take the reins over” when he retired, per that same Generation Iron piece. Forbes noted in February 2025 that creators from Jeff Nippard to Joe Rogan had talked about him and that he had become a meme on several platforms. When Gymshark signed him, its global head of influence put him on a “Mount Rushmore of men’s lifting,” per BarBend.
Why does Sam Sulek always wear a hat? Why did he cut his hair? Why the chocolate milk?
He has not explained the hat or a haircut in anything we could source. The hat is part of the look fans know, enough that in his July 2025 Gymshark signing clip David Laid handed him a Gymshark hat to swap for his usual one, per Men’s Fitness. The chocolate milk comes from his bulking days of eating, where a quart of it shows up in his first meal, per Generation Iron.
Has Sam Sulek talked about peptides or steroids?
About peptides, yes. In a YouTube Q&A on March 21, 2026, he said he had “some peptide experience” and that BPC-157 and TB-500 seemed to help him heal after muscle pulls and a bad chest tear, adding that it was one anecdote and not medical advice, per Generation Iron. About steroids, we could not source a direct statement from him in trade press, and Generation Iron’s profile, updated in July 2026, says the same. We only print what he says himself, not what others say about him.
How old is Sam Sulek? How tall is he?
He is 24. He was born on February 7, 2002, per Famous Birthdays. Generation Iron lists him at 5 feet 11 inches. His own video titles log his body weight each day; his October 20, 2026 video lists 243.0 pounds.
What is Sam Sulek’s real name? Where is he from?
He goes by Sam Sulek, and he has not published a longer legal name that we could source. He is from Delaware, Ohio, per Famous Birthdays, and he dove for Delaware Hayes High School before college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, per Fitness Volt.
What about Sam Sulek’s relationships, health or personal life?
Not something we cover.
Where can I watch Sam Sulek?
Daily training vlogs, including The Bulk Rebirth series, on YouTube @sam_sulek; shorter posts on Instagram @sam_sulek and TikTok @sam_sulek. His merch store is samsulek.com.
What is Sam Sulek’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
Who represents Sam Sulek?
We found no published agent or management, and neither his YouTube About page nor his merch site lists a business email we could see. His videos point to Gymshark, RAW Nutrition and his own store. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking what happened after Hosstile and how his pro career is going, and both answers are on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Sam Sulek. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. The vlog is the workout, start to finish, with a few minutes of talking in the car before and after, posted almost every day and titled with the day number and his body weight. There is no script and very little editing. It works because it is a running log: viewers check in the way they would check on a training partner.
Why it travels. The plainness is the hook. His delivery and gym habits became memes, which sent new viewers back to the long videos, and the bodybuilding press covers every physique update and placing. Competing gave the daily log a real scoreboard, so each show result became its own news cycle.
Brand fit. Apparel and supplements are taken, with Gymshark and RAW Nutrition already in his descriptions, and he sells his own straps, shakers and clothing. Open lanes are the ones that sit inside a bulk: food, meal delivery, gym equipment and recovery gear. He has spoken on the record about peptide use (March 2026), so brands should plan approvals around that.
