Fitness · Instagram · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Christian Guzman is a fitness YouTuber from the Houston area who started filming his workouts from a college dorm room in March 2012 and turned the audience into companies: the apparel brand Alphalete, the Alphaland gym campus in Missouri City, Texas, the energy drink 3D and the Summer Shredding bodybuilding league. In September 2023 he ended the channel that built all of it, just under a million subscribers, and started over on a new one with plain titles and about two videos a week. In 2025 he explained why, said he had walked away from competing, and confirmed he left Ghost, his supplement sponsor of roughly a decade, to put everything into 3D. Houstonia profiled him in 2017 and ABC13 in 2020.

Questions people ask
Who is Christian Guzman?
Christian Guzman is a 33-year-old fitness YouTuber and business owner from Sugar Land, Texas. He started his channel in March 2012, opened his first gym, CGFitness, at the end of 2013 and rebranded it Alphalete the next year, per Houstonia. Today his channel lists him as founder and CEO of Alphalete Athletics, Alphaland, 3D Energy Drinks and Summer Shredding, and he posts about twice a week on a second channel he started in 2023. His early collabs include two 2016 videos with Bradley Martyn.
What happened to Christian Guzman and his original YouTube channel?
He ended it himself. On September 5, 2023 he posted “The End Of This Channel.” on the channel he had run since March 2012, saying it had sat just under a million subscribers for about four years and that he was starting fresh. Two days later the first video went up on a new channel, @guzmanchristian. The original is still online with about 954,000 subscribers and more than 1,400 videos, and its descriptions now point to the new one. He did not go anywhere; he moved.
Why did Christian Guzman start a new channel?
He gave his own account on May 13, 2025, in “Where I’ve Been & Why I Quit This Channel”. He describes three phases: easy early years, a 2015 to 2019 run of series, hired videographers and clickbait-style titles, and 2020 to 2023, when running Alphalete and building Alphaland (which he says opened January 1, 2022) pulled him away while he kept committing to contest prep series to revive the channel. He says he hit a breaking point during his 2023 prep, and that the new channel is the fix: videos that come naturally, no clickbait. In the same video he says he has walked away from competing.
Why did Christian Guzman leave Ghost?
He answered it in a Q&A on September 4, 2025: yes, he left. He said he signed with Ghost in 2015, before the brand launched, and that once Ghost had its own energy drink and he had taken back control of 3D Energy, promoting both became a conflict of interest. In his words, “I just had to choose to go all in on 3D.” He credited Ghost’s two founders in the same answer.
What happened with Christian Guzman and Shawley?
No dispute is on the record. A July 2025 Short on his channel is titled “Training with Shawley,” and we have found no statement from either of them about a falling out. Nothing beyond that is sourced, and we do not repeat forum talk.
What companies does Christian Guzman own?
His channel lists him as founder and CEO of Alphalete Athletics (apparel), Alphalete Gym and Alphaland (a gym campus in Missouri City, Texas), 3D Energy Drinks and Summer Shredding, a bodybuilding league with 2026 shows in Houston and Toronto. The energy drink launched in 2017 as Up and was renamed 3D in 2018 after a trademark dispute over the name. In December 2024 he said he had become the sole owner of 3D for the first time after a split with his original partners, and that he had picked new partners for a 2025 relaunch, including Chris Bumstead.
How old is Christian Guzman? What is his real name?
He is 33; Famous Birthdays lists February 20, 1993. Christian Guzman is his real name. Houstonia’s 2017 profile says he went to Dulles High School and left Texas State University after his sophomore year in 2013.
Is Christian Guzman the baseball player who played for the Twins?
No. That is Cristian Guzmán, spelled without the h, a former MLB shortstop for the Minnesota Twins, Washington Nationals and Texas Rangers. This entry is about the fitness creator from Texas.
Where can I watch Christian Guzman?
New videos go up about twice a week on YouTube @guzmanchristian. The original channel, @christianguzman, is an archive going back to 2012. He is also on Instagram @christianguzmanfitness and X @guzmanfitness.
What is Christian Guzman’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
What happened to Christian Guzman’s hair, and who is his wife or his ex?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Christian Guzman?
We did not find an agency or manager listed on his channels; he runs his own companies. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking what happened to his channel, and his own answer is on the record. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Christian Guzman. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. A founder’s diary. The camera follows him through training, product meetings at Alphalete and whatever broke that week, and for a decade the engine was Summer Shredding, a contest prep filmed day by day until show day. The new channel keeps the diary and drops the packaging: plain titles, two uploads a week.
Why it travels. The companies carry it. People wear the brand on camera, a gym that sells day passes is a set other creators can walk into, and the league gives competitors a stage he built. The story of the week is usually a business decision, which gives the videos a second audience that does not lift.
Brand fit. Narrow, by his own choice. He owns the apparel, the energy drink and the gym, so those categories are closed, and leaving Ghost showed he will drop a sponsor that overlaps with something he owns. What is left is what his video descriptions already carry: supplements, meal prep, gym equipment and recovery tools.
