Fitness · YouTube · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Jesse James West is a fitness YouTuber and former college lacrosse player from Sparta, New Jersey, with about 11.3 million subscribers on YouTube. He is not Jesse James, the motorcycle builder known for West Coast Choppers. As of October 2026 he is still uploading several times a week, mostly strength challenges against other fitness creators, and Gymshark has been his clothing partner since his “a fresh start.” video on June 3, 2024. In November 2025 he boxed fellow YouTuber Airrack in a fight streamed on Airrack’s channel.

Questions people ask
Who is Jesse James West? Why is he famous?
Jesse James West is a fitness YouTuber with about 11.3 million subscribers, per Social Blade. He played lacrosse at Sparta High School in New Jersey, spent a semester at Lehigh and then transferred to Montclair State, where he played attack and studied communication and media arts, per a Montclarion profile from April 2019. He got big on challenge videos: training with bodybuilding names, competitions against other fitness creators, and a celebrity home gym series whose MrBeast episode has passed 23 million views. He has filmed with Dr. Mike Israetel in a March 2025 video and with Chris Bumstead at the 2024 Mr. Olympia in an October 2024 video.
Is Jesse James West the Jesse James from West Coast Choppers?
No. This entry is about Jesse James West, the fitness YouTuber at @JesseJamesWest. Jesse James of West Coast Choppers is a different person, a motorcycle builder and TV personality, and the two are not connected in anything we found. Searches like “what happened to Jesse James West Coast Choppers” are about him, not this creator.
What happened to Jesse James West? Is he still posting?
Nothing has gone wrong that we could find. As of October 2026 he is posting several times a week on YouTube, most recently strength and grip challenges against other fitness creators, including a charity strength competition for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital posted September 27, 2026. The biggest changes in the last two years were business ones: he switched clothing partners to Gymshark in June 2024, and in November 2025 he boxed Airrack. Both are covered below.
Why did Jesse James West leave YoungLA? What is his Gymshark code?
He has not said why in anything we could source, and we could not confirm a YoungLA deal or its end date from his own channel or from major or trade press. What is public: on June 3, 2024 he posted a short video titled “a fresh start.” tagged #gymshark, telling fans to “take the risk, make the change.” Since then his upload descriptions, through October 2026, list Gymshark as his clothing partner with the code JESSE10 for a discount, as in his November 2025 boxing video.
Why did Jesse James West leave Gorilla Mind?
Neither he nor Gorilla Mind has explained it in anything we could source. What is public: Gorilla Mind’s own YouTube channel promoted a Jesse James West birthday bundle on January 31, 2024, so the partnership was active then. His recent upload descriptions, from November 2025 to October 2026, list Gymshark, the nutrition app MacroFactor and Speediance home gym equipment, and no Gorilla Mind code, while some of his older 2021 uploads, like this one, still carry one.
Why is Jesse James West fighting Airrack? Who won?
The fight has already happened. Airrack streamed “Airrack vs Jesse James West FULL FIGHT” live on his channel on November 2, 2025, a YouTuber boxing match between the two creators. Jesse posted his own video on the fight on November 16, 2025. Neither has given a reason for the fight beyond the content itself, and we could not source the result from major or trade press, so the full fight on Airrack’s channel is the record.
Did Jesse James West go to jail? Is he banned from Planet Fitness?
We found no report of an arrest in major or trade press, and no report of a Planet Fitness ban. What exists is his own content: a challenge video titled “Surviving REAL Prison For 24 Hours” posted May 11, 2023, a video titled “KICKED OUT OF PLANET FITNESS” from May 20, 2021, and “I Opened a FAKE Planet Fitness!” from December 3, 2023, which his own description calls a parody made for comedic purposes.
What is Jesse James West’s diet plan and max bench?
He sells his training and recipes through Team Relentless, a coaching community his channel links to with a free trial. Diet and body numbers are not something we cover. He has not published a current bench press max that we could source; his July 4, 2021 upload is titled “FIRST TIME BENCHING 405!”
How old is Jesse James West, what is his real name and where is he from?
He has not published a birth date on his own channels that we could source, and Famous Birthdays has no page for him, so we do not list an age. He goes by Jesse James West, the name The Montclarion used in its 2019 profile, and no other name has been published. He is from Sparta, New Jersey, where he played lacrosse at Sparta High School.
What about Jesse James West’s height, weight, relationships or health?
Not something we cover.
Where can I watch Jesse James West?
His main videos are on YouTube @JesseJamesWest. Short clips run on Instagram @jessejameswest and TikTok @jessejameswest. The Airrack fight is on Airrack’s channel.
What is Jesse James West’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
Who represents Jesse James West?
His YouTube descriptions list a management email at his own domain for business inquiries; no agency is named there. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking what happened with his sponsors and his Airrack fight, and the parts that are on the record fit in one place. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Jesse James West. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Challenge videos with a clear contest: a gym rated one star against one rated five, a famous lifter against a YouTuber, a group of fitness creators racing for a single winner. He plays the regular guy who tries everything, which lets the guest or the challenge be the star and keeps the series repeatable.
Why it travels. Every episode borrows another audience. A celebrity home gym, a bodybuilding legend or a rival creator brings their own fans, and the title tells you the stakes before you click. That is how a channel that started as lacrosse highlights in 2016 reached about 11.3 million subscribers.
Brand fit. Fitness apparel, nutrition apps, home gym equipment and gyms are already in his descriptions, with Gymshark as the long running clothing partner. A brand that wants him gets placed inside a challenge, not a sit down read, and should expect the video to be about the contest first.
