Questions people ask
Who is Chris Distefano?
Chris Distefano is a stand-up comedian and podcaster born in Brooklyn, New York, per Famous Birthdays. He first got noticed on MTV’s Guy Code and Girl Code, then starred in IFC’s Benders and co-hosted Netflix’s Ultimate Beastmaster, per his bio. His specials are Size 38 Waist (Comedy Central, 2019), Speshy Weshy (Netflix, May 2022) and It’s Just Unfortunate, which Hulu released on February 21, 2025. Today he co-hosts History Hyenas with Yannis Pappas and hosts Chrissy Chaos, both weekly as of October 2026.
What happened between Chris Distefano and Yannis Pappas?
On the record, a break and a reunion, not a feud. Their show History Hyenas started in February 2018 and ran weekly until an episode titled “History Hyenas was WILD! | Final Episode” on March 24, 2021, whose notes pointed listeners to their new projects, including Chrissy Chaos. Neither gave a reason in the show’s notes. They came back on November 7, 2024 with “Surprise The History Hyenas R Back!”, and as of October 2026 the show is still weekly, with the latest episode out October 15, 2026. We found no reported falling out between them in major or trade press.
What happened to Chris Distefano’s podcast? What happened to Hey Babe with Sal Vulcano?
Chrissy Chaos, his solo show since February 2021, switched to a history format called Christories in June 2025 and then stopped after July 28, 2025. It came back audio only on March 18, 2026, where he talks through why it stopped, and video returned on April 8, 2026. His bio now lists Hey Babe! with Impractical Jokers’ Sal Vulcano, Christories and Teach Me Daddy with Matteo Lane as previous podcasts, and adds a new sports show, Winner Winner. Neither host has given a public reason Hey Babe ended that we could source, and we found no reported falling out; on a July 22, 2026 episode of Chrissy Chaos Chris talked on Chrissy Chaos about whether Hey Babe could return.
Who are Titi Jerry and Mike Cannon on Chrissy Chaos?
Both are Chrissy Chaos regulars. Titi Jerry was a recurring guest from March 2021 to October 2022; the June 2021 notes say she was at his house cleaning and hopped on the episode, and her last named appearance was an October 25, 2022 episode with Tim Dillon (EP 91). The show has not named her as a guest since, and Chris has not given a public update on her that we could source. Comedian Mike Cannon is an old friend who co-hosted most episodes through 2023 and 2024, was not part of the 2025 history run or the March 2026 return, then came back on June 17, 2026 and recorded with Chris on the road in Philadelphia in July 2026. Nothing on the record points to a falling out.
Why did Chris Distefano host Jimmy Kimmel Live?
Jimmy Kimmel was on his annual summer break in 2025 and handed the show to a rotation of guest hosts. Distefano hosted on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15, 2025, per LateNighter (July 8, 2025) and TV Insider, with Jelly Roll taking the next two nights. It was his first time hosting, per his bio, and he called it an honor in his monologue. The two had worked together before: Kimmel picked him in 2022 to host Super Maximum Retro Show for Vice TV, per the same bio, and Kimmel was a guest on Chrissy Chaos in June 2024.
Is Chris Distefano married?
Yes. He announced his engagement to his longtime partner on Chrissy Chaos in February 2025, and the wedding was in late June 2026, per his June 24 episode recorded 48 hours before it and the wedding recap episode released July 1, 2026.
Why did Chris Distefano sell his house?
He has not said he sold a house in anything we could source. What is public: on his March 18, 2026 return episode he talked about moving out of New York City and buying a house, the April 1, 2026 notes describe a “massive financial mistake” with it, on July 1 he said he bought too much house and debated downsizing, and on July 22 he said he may never buy another house again.
Was Chris Distefano cancelled? Why is he in court? What happened with Lance Stewart?
We found no report in major or trade press of him being cancelled, dropped from a show or involved in a court case, and we found no sourced connection between him and Lance Stewart. In 2025 he released a Hulu special and guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and as of October 2026 his tour page lists club dates into early 2027.
How old is Chris Distefano? What is his real name? Where is he from?

His booking page lists two booking agents at Creative Artists Agency, and ad sales for Chrissy Chaos go through YMH Studios. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people keep asking what happened with Yannis Pappas, Hey Babe and his podcasts, and the answers are on the record in his own show feeds. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Chris Distefano. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Two weekly podcasts and a road act. History Hyenas pairs him with Yannis Pappas to riff through a history topic, and Chrissy Chaos is looser: life updates, friends dropping in, often recorded in the back of his car. The podcasts are also where his life news breaks first, from the engagement to the wedding to the house.
Why it travels. He narrates his own life in public every week, so fans follow the story the way they would a show: who left, who came back, what happened with the house. Short clips of that, and of his stand-up, travel on TikTok, where he has about 1.6 million followers, and the reunions (History Hyenas in 2024, Mike Cannon in 2026) give people a reason to search.
Brand fit. Podcast and live comedy sponsors already sit around his shows, and his sports fandom opens up ticketing, sportsbooks and sports media, which fits the new Winner Winner show. His material is crude and self-mocking, so family brands and tightly scripted reads are a harder fit. A brand should expect the read to become a bit.
