Streaming service · 32 creators in the index · Updated Nov 4, 2026
This page covers creators and Netflix: the comedians, podcasters and YouTubers in our index who have a Netflix special, series or show, and the deals that put them there. As of November 2026 that is 32 index creators, most of them stand-up comics who built their audiences on podcasts first. The two biggest groups come from Kill Tony, which has released four Netflix specials since April 2025, and from Shane Gillis’s sitcom Tires, co-created by John McKeever and renewed for a fourth season in August 2026, per Variety. Since January 2026 Netflix has also streamed video podcasts: Barstool Sports moved the video of Pardon My Take, Spittin’ Chiclets and The Ryen Russillo Podcast there in a multi-year deal that Front Office Sports put at eight figures a year, and by July 2026 Netflix carried more than 50 podcasts, per TheWrap. In September 2026 Kevin Langue brought his YouTube guessing game to Netflix, with new episodes landing on both services the same day. Apart from the Barstool figure, none of these deal values has been disclosed.

Not in the index: Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben, Dan “Big Cat” Katz, Paul Bissonnette and Ryen Russillo. Netflix’s cast lists name only some of each Kill Tony night’s comics: Hans Kim said on his own show that Heath Cordes played Elon Musk’s son in Kill or Be Killed, but the listing does not name him. A Netflix special for Isaac Butterfield never happened: he said in 2019 that a service he did not name wanted cuts and he cancelled the deal, while SBS noted in 2020 reports that Netflix had dropped it.

Questions people ask
What is the Barstool Netflix deal, and how much is it worth?
The Barstool Netflix deal is a multi-year agreement, announced December 17, 2025, that puts the video episodes of Pardon My Take, Spittin’ Chiclets and The Ryen Russillo Podcast on Netflix and nowhere else, per Netflix. Netflix did not disclose the price; Front Office Sports reported it is worth eight figures a year to Barstool Sports across the three shows, and that the point for Netflix was moving the video from YouTube to its own service. The audio stays free on podcast apps. The video went live on January 12, 2026, per TheWrap. In Netflix’s announcement, Dave Portnoy said he hoped it would “bring new audiences to each platform.”
Did Barstool sell to Netflix?
No, Barstool Sports did not sell to Netflix: Netflix licensed the video rights to three of its podcasts, and Dave Portnoy still owns the company, which he bought back from Penn Entertainment for $1 in August 2023, per the Barstool Sports hub. The deal covers new video episodes and some older ones of Pardon My Take, Spittin’ Chiclets and The Ryen Russillo Podcast, per Netflix. Barstool’s other shows, its blog and its FS1 show Wake Up Barstool are not part of it.
What Barstool shows are on Netflix?
Three Barstool shows are on Netflix as of November 2026: Pardon My Take, with Big Cat, PFT Commenter and producer Hank Lockwood; Spittin’ Chiclets, with Ryan Whitney, Paul Bissonnette and Rear Admiral; and The Ryen Russillo Podcast. All three arrived on January 12, 2026, per TheWrap. In February 2026 What’s on Netflix reported that Barstool titles were still missing from Netflix outside the U.S. and Canada, so availability depends on where you watch. Barstool’s Netflix connection also runs through comedy: Francis Ellis, a Barstool podcaster, has appeared in Tires.
Does Netflix have podcasts now? When did Netflix add video podcasts?
Yes, Netflix has had video podcasts since January 11, 2026, when The Bill Simmons Podcast premiered with a live episode, and 34 licensed and original podcasts arrived that month, per TheWrap. They came from deals with Spotify’s The Ringer (announced October 14, 2025, per Variety), iHeartMedia and Barstool Sports (December 2025), plus Netflix’s own shows such as Skip Intro and The Official Bridgerton Podcast, per What’s on Netflix. More followed, including Jake Shane’s Therapuss on February 18, 2026, per TheWrap, and by July 2026 Netflix carried more than 50 podcasts, per TheWrap. They are video versions; the audio stays on podcast apps.
Why is Netflix adding podcasts?
Netflix is adding video podcasts to compete with YouTube for podcast viewing, as trade press reported it. Front Office Sports noted, citing Bloomberg, that more than 700 million hours of podcasts were watched on YouTube in October 2025, more than double a year earlier, and described Netflix’s push as moving podcasts’ video from YouTube to its own service. In its shareholder letter Netflix said its video podcasts “over-index on viewing during the day and on mobile devices,” per TheWrap, but it has not published viewing numbers for them, and podcasts were left out of its engagement report for the first half of 2026.
Does Kill Tony have a Netflix special? How many?
Kill Tony has four Netflix specials as of November 2026: Kill or Be Killed (April 7, 2025, taped at The Comedy Mothership in Austin), Mayhem at Madison Square Garden (2025), Once Upon a Time in Texas (January 2026) and KillTonyMania (April 20, 2026, taped in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 42 week, per WWE). Netflix ordered three specials and a Tony Hinchcliffe hour on March 10, 2025, per Netflix; KillTonyMania was a fourth, and the hour, Man of the People, came out June 9, 2026. Index creators in Netflix’s cast lists include Redban, Dedrick Flynn, William Montgomery, Casey Rocket, Timmy No Brakes, Uncle Lazer, David Lucas, Martin Phillips, Hans Kim and Joe DeRosa. The full story of the show is on the Kill Tony hub.
Is Kill Tony on Netflix every week? Did it leave Netflix?
No, the weekly Kill Tony episodes are not on Netflix; only the specials are, and Kill Tony has not left Netflix. The weekly show posts to YouTube and podcast apps, and on April 27, 2026 it signed a multiyear ad sales and distribution deal with Red Seat Ventures, part of Fox Corporation, that adds Fox’s Tubi and FOX One, per its press release. That deal came a week after Netflix released KillTonyMania, and the four Netflix specials and Hinchcliffe’s Man of the People remain on Netflix. We found no report in an accepted outlet of Netflix ending the relationship or of a fifth special being announced.
How much was the Kill Tony Netflix deal worth?
The Kill Tony Netflix deal’s value was not disclosed. Netflix’s March 10, 2025 announcement gave the terms only as three specials plus a one-hour Tony Hinchcliffe special, and quoted him calling the creative freedom “a comedian’s dream.” No accepted outlet has reported a figure since, so any number circulating online is a guess. The same is true of the April 2026 Red Seat Ventures deal, per its press release.
What YouTubers have Netflix shows?
As of November 2026, the YouTube creators with shows on Netflix include Kevin Langue, whose The Kevin Langue Show and KL2 arrived on September 5, 2026, per Net Influencer; the Sidemen, whose Inside: USA was their first U.S. series, per Tudum; and Ms. Rachel, Mark Rober and Jordan and Salish Matter, whose deals Tubefilter covered in February 2026. In our index, Zach Justice competed on Inside: USA. Tires also started online: Shane Gillis and John McKeever built an audience with the YouTube sketch series Gilly and Keeves before Netflix acquired their sitcom in 2024, per Netflix.
What is the Kevin Langue Netflix deal?
Kevin Langue’s Netflix deal licenses his two YouTube shows, The Kevin Langue Show and KL2, to Netflix, with older episodes arriving September 5, 2026 and new episodes posting on Netflix and YouTube the same day, worldwide, per Net Influencer, citing Variety. The shows did not leave YouTube, and the financial terms were not disclosed. Netflix lists the show as a TV-MA talk show in which Langue and his friends question contestants to find a secret liar. Aaron Branch, long one of its panelists, also played Malcolm in Netflix’s comedy Unstable, which Netflix canceled after two seasons in October 2024, per Variety.
How much does Netflix pay for comedy specials?
Netflix does not publish what it pays for comedy specials, and the reported figures range from about $200,000 to tens of millions of dollars. Insiders told Variety in October 2016 that Chris Rock’s two-special deal was worth about $40 million, and Bloomberg reported in October 2019 that Netflix paid a reported $20 million a show to land Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer and Rock. In September 2022 The Wall Street Journal reported that Netflix had begun licensing some specials for two years for $200,000, where outright purchases had paid lump sums as high as $1 million that helped cover production costs, per PYMNTS; after the two years the rights go back to the comedian, per Marketplace. No outlet we accept has reported what any creator in our index was paid.
Which podcast comedians have Netflix specials?
Many of the podcast comedians in our index have their own Netflix stand-up hour: Tony Hinchcliffe (Kill Tony), Tim Dillon (The Tim Dillon Show, three specials), Andrew Schulz (Flagrant), Stavros Halkias (Stavvy’s World, two specials), Matt McCusker (Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast), Andrew Santino (Bad Friends), Ari Shaffir and Chris Distefano (History Hyenas). Ralph Barbosa, who co-hosts The Fat Fish Podcast, has Cowabunga. Several moved specials between services: Santino’s and Barbosa’s next hours went to Hulu, and Shaffir left the Comedy Central show he created after deciding to sell a special to Netflix, per Deadline. The table above lists titles and dates.
Who created Tires on Netflix, and who is in it?
Tires was created by Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben and John McKeever, who also directs it, and Netflix acquired it in February 2024, per Netflix. The main cast is Gillis, Gerben, Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Haden Church, per Variety, which reported more than 45 million views across three seasons and a fourth-season order on August 31, 2026. Index creators in smaller parts include Matt McCusker as Max the Cop, Joe DeRosa, Francis Ellis and Andrew Schulz, with Dan Soder and Bobby Lee added for season 3, per ComingSoon, citing Deadline. Season 3 premiered August 13, 2026, per What’s on Netflix.
Did Netflix cancel or drop any of these creators?
Netflix has not dropped any creator in our index over a joke, in anything we could source, though some of its creator titles drew criticism and one series was canceled. Rob Lowe’s comedy Unstable, with Aaron Branch, was canceled after two seasons in October 2024, per Variety. Tony Hinchcliffe’s George Floyd joke at the live Roast of Kevin Hart drew particular backlash from critics, per Variety, and Netflix released his hour a month later. Kam Patterson’s Kill Tony special set joking about SNL was covered by Out in January 2026, and he returned for SNL’s 52nd season that September. The one special that fell through belongs to Isaac Butterfield: he said in 2019 that he cancelled a streaming deal over requested cuts, while SBS noted in 2020 reports that Netflix had dropped it. Searches asking what happened to Ralph Barbosa’s special have a simple answer: Cowabunga is still on Netflix.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Netflix. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. Netflix buys what these creators already proved in public. Kill Tony had sold out Madison Square Garden before Netflix ordered a special, Gilly and Keeves had a YouTube audience before Tires, and Pardon My Take had years of video before Netflix paid for it. The specials and series keep the creator’s voice mostly intact, which is why the same names keep coming back: Hinchcliffe, Gillis and their circle of comics have filled most of the Netflix credits in this index.
Why it travels. For a comic, a Netflix hour reaches people who would never search for a podcast, and a Top 10 run ends up in the tour billing, as it did for Matt McCusker. The traffic runs both ways: one minute on a Kill Tony special sends viewers to a newcomer’s own channels, and Tires has given parts to half a dozen comics from the same scene. The video podcasts are the newer bet, and Netflix has not yet published numbers showing whether they move audiences the way YouTube does.
Brand fit. A Netflix special has no host reads, so brands reach these creators around the Netflix work rather than inside it: their podcasts, tours and own channels, where the audience a special brings in ends up. A Netflix credit makes a comedian easier to put in front of a mainstream marketing team, but most of these titles are rated TV-MA and several of the bigger names have drawn national criticism, so check the material first. For the Barstool shows, the deal is with Barstool, not the host.
