Dedrick Flynn is a stand-up comedian from Atlanta, now based in Austin, Texas, billed as “The Dark Storm.” He told Kill Tony he had signed up 39 times before his name was pulled from the bucket on episode #743 in November 2025, and host Tony Hinchcliffe made him a regular that night. He has been in the show’s cast notes every week since, and in July 2026 he joked on the show about a video of him being arrested in Japan, a matter we could not find in major press. Outside the show he tours clubs and posts sketches and stand-up to about 466,000 followers on TikTok.

Questions people ask
Who is Dedrick Flynn?
Dedrick Flynn is a stand-up comedian from Atlanta who moved to Austin to get on Kill Tony and, by his own account on the show, worked at Sunset Strip, an Austin comedy club, while he waited. When his name was finally pulled on Kill Tony #743 (released November 11, 2025) he said he had been doing comedy for 12 years and headlining for about 10. A week later, on #744, Tony Hinchcliffe introduced him as “the newest regular” on the show and “a 12-year veteran of comedy, the Dark Storm of Atlanta.” Comedy Works bills his act as loud and irreverent.
What happened to Dedrick Flynn in Japan? Was he arrested, and why?
We could not find a report of an arrest, a charge or a court outcome in major or trade press, including Japanese outlets, so we do not repeat the details circulating on video channels and unsourced sites. What is public is what he said himself on Kill Tony #777, released July 21, 2026. He opened his set with “that was me on that AI video getting arrested in Japan,” said he was “back in the greatest country in the world,” and joked about people online talking about him going to jail. Asked by Tony Hinchcliffe whether he made friends there, he said “the cops love me” and that they talked through a translation device. He did not say whether the video was real or what, if anything, followed.
Is Dedrick Flynn still on Kill Tony? What happened to him on the show?
Yes, as of October 2026. Kill Tony’s own episode notes list him in the cast from #745 (November 25, 2025) through #788, released October 6, 2026, where Tony introduced “the dark storm of Austin, Texas” with a brand new minute. How he got there is the story people search: on #743 he said he had signed up 39 times, Tony made him a regular on the spot, and his first set as a regular aired on #744. In those notes he has shared the stage with regulars like William Montgomery and Hans Kim.
Is Dedrick Flynn on house arrest?
We found no report that he is. What is public: he performs on Kill Tony in Austin most weeks, most recently #788, recorded September 28, 2026, and clubs still book him on the road, including Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub in Fort Worth on December 4 and 5, 2026. His Linktree carries the rest of his tour dates.
What happened to Dedrick Flynn in New York?
We could not find a sourced account of anything that happened to him in New York, so we will not guess. If the question comes from a clip or a post, we have not verified it.
Is Dedrick Flynn funny?
That is your call, but the record is kind. The night he was pulled from the bucket, guest Joe DeRosa told him he was “incredible,” and Tony Hinchcliffe said “Dedrick is something special here,” per the #743 transcript. Years earlier, Paste named him one of eight Atlanta comedians to watch in 2015, as the Charleston City Paper noted in 2019. His material is profane and built on stories from his own life, so it is not for every room.
Is Dedrick Flynn friends with Teddy Swims?
We could not find either of them saying so on the record, so we do not claim it.
How old is Dedrick Flynn? What is his real name?
He has not published a birthdate, so we do not list an age. He performs as Dedrick Flynn and posts as Deddyfatstacks, and no other name has been published by him or by major press. “The Dark Storm” is the nickname Kill Tony uses for him.
Where can I watch Dedrick Flynn?
Kill Tony most weeks, on the show’s YouTube channel and podcast feed, from episode #743 on. His own clips, the Tiny Violence sketch series and a full stand-up special of the same name are on YouTube at @DedrickFlynnKT, and he posts on TikTok and Instagram as @deddyfatstacks. Tour dates are on his Linktree.
What is Dedrick Flynn’s net worth?
He does not publish a number and neither do we.
What about Dedrick Flynn’s family, or who he is related to?
Not something we cover.
Who represents Dedrick Flynn?
His Linktree lists tour dates and ticket links, and his TikTok and YouTube bios point fans there; we found no agency or manager named on his own pages or in trade press. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because he went from 39 bucket sign-ups to a weekly Kill Tony slot, and people keep asking what happened in Japan. If that changes, this entry will say so.
Our read
Ames Create does not work with Dedrick Flynn. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.
The format. A new minute most weeks, delivered loud and fast, usually as a run of “what you know about” lines drawn from a hard-luck life, then an interview where he gives as good as he gets. Twelve years on the road before the show means the minute is written, not winged, which he made a point of telling the room on his first night.
Why it travels. A Kill Tony set plus the banter after it is a finished clip, and the bucket-pull origin story, 39 sign-ups to a regular slot in one night, is the kind fans retell. On TikTok his stand-up and sketches reach about 466,000 followers, far more than his own YouTube channel.
Brand fit. Live comedy is the fit: clubs, ticketing and the sponsors already around Kill Tony. The material is profane, so mainstream brands are a harder fit. The bucket-to-regular story is a good one, and it is his to tell.
