Joey Cold Cuts

Vancouver-born golfer and cast member of the Bob Does Sports YouTube channel, known for bright outfits, on-course meltdowns and the Joe vs Schmo matches against his online critics.

Sports · Instagram · Updated Oct 3, 2026

Joey Cold Cuts is the on-camera name of Joseph Demare, a golfer from Vancouver and one of the three faces of Bob Does Sports, the golf comedy channel he fronts with Robby Berger (Bobby Fairways) and Fat Perez. He was a restaurant manager at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire when he met Berger, who worked at the same hotel, and the PGA Tour’s own site says it was a golf video with him that turned a general sports channel into a golf channel. Since then he has been its loudest character: bright outfits, a temper the channel puts in its titles, and a series called Joe vs Schmo where he plays the people who talk trash to him online. The channel has about 1.5 million subscribers, and his own Instagram has about 625,000 followers.

Questions people ask

Who is Joey Cold Cuts?

Joey Cold Cuts is Joseph Demare, a golfer from Vancouver and one of the three hosts of Bob Does Sports with Robby Berger (Bobby Fairways) and Fat Perez. SCOREGolf reported in 2023 that he played hockey as a goalie until his early 20s, worked in restaurants, joined the Four Seasons in Whistler and was promoted to restaurant manager at the Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles, where he met Berger. On the channel he is the one in the loud outfits, which Berger was already ranking in a BroBible column in February 2020, and the one whose bad holes become the title of the video.

What happened to Joey Cold Cuts?

Nothing has taken him off the channel. Bob Does Sports posted a Bobby Fairways vs Joey Cold Cuts match on August 27, 2026, and he is still listed as a host of the podcast. The most recent story is from June 2026: in a Joe vs Schmo match posted June 22, he and his opponent, Denton Doggett, argued over a ball plugged in a hazard, and Doggett won in a sudden-death playoff, per Villages-News. Two days later the Bob Does Sports Podcast released an episode titled “Joey Cold Cuts Addresses The Cheating Allegations...”, in which, according to the episode summary, he said he had the rule wrong and apologized for how he reacted.

What is Joey Cold Cuts’ real name?

Joseph Demare. The Hollywood Reporter printed it as Joe Demare in May 2023, the PGA Tour’s site and SCOREGolf use Joseph Demare, and a March 2026 press release for the channel lists him as Joseph “Cold Cuts” Demare. For the full name, Villages-News printed Joseph Peter Demare in June 2026.

Why is Joey Cold Cuts called Peter or Petey?

Peter is his middle name, according to Villages-News, which printed his full name as Joseph Peter Demare in June 2026. That is the only on-record explanation we could find. Neither he nor the channel has published a longer story behind it.

Why is he called Joey Cold Cuts?

He has not put the origin on record anywhere we could find. What is public: the name is older than the channel. Robby Berger was already calling him Joey Cold Cuts in BroBible columns in February 2020, more than a year before Bob Does Sports launched in September 2021, and SCOREGolf, the PGA Tour and Golf.com all treat it simply as his nickname. Golf.com called it “a terrific nickname” and left it there.

Why is Joey Cold Cuts called the D Man?

Nobody has explained it on record. Mashable’s August 2025 profile lists “the D man” and “Da” among the nicknames for both Joey and Bobby Fairways, with the note “don’t ask.” The channel uses it in its own titles, as in the Short “Simply unacceptable from Joey Da.” The same profile adds one more: Cutsy.

What is Joey Cold Cuts’ handicap?

About 10. Villages-News listed him at 10.3 for the June 2026 match against Denton Doggett, a 3.3. A month earlier MyGolfSpy noted that an 83 in the Bob Does Sports Major at Shinnecock cut his handicap by a full stroke, the biggest drop from a single video in its late May rankings. In February 2020, Berger’s BroBible column had him at 12.

Who represents Joey Cold Cuts?

The Hollywood Reporter reported in May 2023 that he signed with UTA in all areas, alongside Robby Berger and Fat Perez. Bob Does Sports is part of Doing Things, the media company that launched the brand in 2021, per a March 2026 press release. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because he became a golf star without being the best golfer in his own group, and people keep asking how. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Joey Cold Cuts. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. Bob Does Sports is a buddies’ golf trip with a challenge attached: a score to break, a match to win, an amount of food or drink to finish. Joey is the character that format needs, the one who dresses like a tour pro, cares the most and reacts the loudest when a shot goes wrong. Mashable’s writer said nothing on the channel made him laugh harder than Joey melting down while everyone else watches.

Why it travels. His reactions cut cleanly into clips, and fan channels stack them into compilations that pull hundreds of thousands of views on their own. Joe vs Schmo turns the comment section into casting, so every critic is a possible episode. And the channel’s collaborations, from Max Homa to LeBron James to the Internet Invitational, keep putting him in front of people who did not come for golf.

Brand fit. Golf apparel is the obvious one: Famous Birthdays lists him as an ambassador for Sunday Swagger, and the outfits are part of the character. Beyond that, most deals run through the channel, which has worked with Callaway, Takomo, DraftKings, PrizePicks and SeatGeek and sells its own Breezy apparel and Have A Day drinks. A brand that wants him gets the meltdowns too, so it suits brands with a sense of humor and not much else.
