Kevin Clancy, known as KFC, is one of the original personalities at Barstool Sports, where he has blogged and podcasted since about 2009 and hosted the call-in comedy show KFC Radio from 2012 until its last episode in December 2025 (Barrett Media). He did not leave the company when the show ended: in June 2026 he told Awful Announcing “I want to be Barstool for life” and said he was working on a new show. In the meantime he posts One Minute Man, short Reels on viral internet stories, to his Instagram, which has about 684,000 followers. He is not the Scottish football referee of the same name.

Questions people ask

Who is Kevin Clancy?

Kevin Clancy, who goes by KFC, is a Barstool Sports blogger and podcaster and one of the company’s original faces across its blog, livestreams and podcasts, as Awful Announcing put it in June 2026. He is best known for KFC Radio, the listener call-in show he started in 2012 and co-hosted for most of its run with Feitelberg. He also co-hosted The Barstool Radio Show with Dave Portnoy when it launched on SiriusXM in January 2018 (Cynopsis) and hosted The Kevin Clancy Show from 2019 to 2022. In 2023 he told Awful Announcing he had written tens of thousands of blogs and done thousands of episodes.

Is Kevin Clancy still with Barstool? Is he leaving Barstool?

Yes, he is still with Barstool, and he has said he does not plan to leave. KFC Radio ended in December 2025, and on The Awful Announcing Podcast in June 2026 he said “I want to be Barstool for life,” that he needs to start a new show, and that after a 15-year run he took “a little bit of a step back” to figure out his “second act” (Awful Announcing, June 19, 2026). As of October 19, 2026, his X bio still lists KFC Radio, One Minute Man, Answer The Internet and Friday Night Pints on the Gotta Believe podcast. We found no report in major or trade press of him leaving, and no announcement of the new show yet.

What happened to Kevin Clancy and KFC Radio?

He and Feitelberg announced on November 26, 2025 that KFC Radio would end with the year (Awful Announcing). Clancy said it was “just the right time” and that, from a business point of view, “the show plateaued,” while adding “I think we’re just too young and there’s too much left.” The last regular episode, “A Final Goodbye: The Last KFC Radio Ever,” posted December 23, 2025 on the show’s feed, and a one-off reunion followed on June 23, 2026 to celebrate the Knicks title. In June 2026 he said the show “just kind of ran its course” after three or four reinventions.

Why did Kevin Clancy get cancelled? What was the Kevin Clancy drama?

He was not fired or taken off the air, as far as anything we could source shows. The controversy major press covered was in April 2025: Awful Announcing reported that he posted a video on his personal account recapping a viral rumor about a private person, and then apologized. In his words, “Personally, professionally, and every which way, I am genuinely sorry,” and he said he “should have taken the time to stop and put myself in their shoes.” We found no report that Barstool disciplined him, and he kept hosting KFC Radio until it ended that December. Other rumors about his personal life are not something we cover.

Who does Kevin Clancy support? Is he a Celtic fan?

The team he is loudest about is the New York Knicks. On The Awful Announcing Podcast on June 18, 2026 he talked about the Knicks ending their 53-year championship drought and what it felt like to win his first title as a fan, and the KFC Radio reunion that month was titled “KFC Wins His First Championship.” We found no public statement from him about Celtic.

How old is Kevin Clancy?

He is 42. Famous Birthdays lists his birthday as March 6, 1984.

What is Kevin Clancy’s real name? Why is he called KFC?

Kevin Clancy is his real name; Awful Announcing and Barrett Media both print it. KFC is the name he has used at Barstool for his whole run, on his handles and on KFC Radio. He has not explained the nickname in anything we could source, so we leave the origin alone.

Where is Kevin Clancy from? Where did he grow up?

He has not published a hometown himself. What is public: Kevin Devaney Jr., co-founder of the high school sports show GameDay One, wrote in March 2026 that Clancy graduated from Pelham High and played basketball there, in an interview about his school days and Barstool. Famous Birthdays gives his birthplace only as the United States and says he earned an MBA in finance at Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business.

Is this Kevin Clancy the football referee?

No. This entry is about KFC from Barstool Sports. Kevin Clancy the Scottish football referee is a different person.

Where can I watch Kevin Clancy?

His One Minute Man videos are on Instagram @kfcbarstool, and he posts on X @KFCBarstool and on TikTok @kfcbarstool. The KFC Radio archive, more than 900 episodes, is on Apple Podcasts and the KFC Radio YouTube channel, and the 2019 to 2022 run of The Kevin Clancy Show is still up.

What is Kevin Clancy’s net worth?

He does not publish a number and neither do we.

What about Kevin Clancy’s family or personal life?

Not something we cover.

Who represents Kevin Clancy?

His X bio links a Linktree for his shows and merch, and his work runs through Barstool Sports. Ames Create does not represent him; we cover him because people assumed the end of KFC Radio meant the end of his Barstool run, and he has said on the record that it does not. If that changes, this entry will say so.

Our read

Ames Create does not work with Kevin Clancy. This is our view, from a team that works on creator brands for a living.

The format. KFC Radio ran on listener voicemails and long, loose bar talk, and he has said the format ran its course. One Minute Man goes the other way: one viral story, one take, about a minute, filmed for the feed. He has said he thinks short-form will be valued more and that he may already be doing what is next.

Why it travels. He has been a Barstool voice for well over a decade, so his takes land with an audience that already knows him. A one-minute recap of whatever the internet is arguing about is built to be reposted, and his face and voice are recognizable in the first second to anyone who listened to KFC Radio.

Brand fit. Podcast and short-form sponsors that already buy Barstool audiences are the natural fit, along with New York sports brands, given how much of his recent airtime went to the Knicks. The internet-recap format also carries risk, as the April 2025 apology showed, and the humor is Barstool’s. Brands should wait to see what the new show is before booking anything long term.
